  1. So the part where they put a nuke at the top of a building, behind a physical object where no one can get to it without a vehicle is a non-issue?
  2. A lot of people are saying "just do ___" to get into Nod. But if NOD can just waltz into the GDI base to that one section without having to be creative about it, then that's imbalanced. I.e. A GDI Engineer runs to not. He hides behind rocks and trees to get into the base to avoid the long range of the Obelisk. Meanwhile a NOD Engineer runs right on in and isn't slowed down by having to dodge. The issue there is that the NOD have a speed and time advantage to get to their location, and no chance of dying by the GDI Base defenses. Whilst the GDI DO have the danger of being killed by base defenses. That means the GDI have to mine and defend that section more than the NOD would have to. Which means using up their mines on their mine limit that could be used else where. I know people will keep saying "just mine ___" or dodge but if you want it balanced then both teams have to go through the same kind of loop holes in order to win, really. But that's just how I see it.
  3. GDI had walking mini mechs with machine guns for hands, didn't they? Little 1 person things?
  4. they just want to kill the fun and troll ... thats their reward How is that a reward? Man people are messed up.
  5. What a shame. Hacking in a game where hacking gives you nothing in return. It's not like in CoD where you can get ranks up or anything. There's literally no reward.
  6. I can't say I used 'em much but they WERE fun in custom maps. I'd love to see them return if Renegade X ever supports custom maps. I remember stunt parks being all the rage back in the day.
  7. They are buyable, you just need to capture a Silo on the map (if there is one).... right? >_>
  8. So that's what those did. I shot them once or twice for fun figuring it was just an aesthetic choice. How fun though!
  9. We could be THE Brotherhood of Nod. Claim it before it's too late, brother.
  10. I think he didn't mean to spam it. The website wen't down so it may have got stuck submitting the thread in a loop, so it spammed it. And yeah Totem makes a very valid point. That's how games tend to go. I imagine a GDI only item, a kind of sensor or something would be useful? That's just a first thought of course.
  11. I don't think McFarland is too strong. He's weak at range and can be sniped fairly easily. He is a tad cheap but people claim he's a good counter measure to early NOD game plays. But I think a bit of a price increase couldn't hurt.
  12. That's the one. I'd like to see that come back.
  13. Like that one map in Classic Renegade. The one that the practice map was on. I want to say... "Cavern"?
  14. Yeah, always fun. Figured I'd ask anyway in case there was more to it.
  15. Has the credits not working properly in Skirmish been at all addressed? I can't find anything in my searches.
  16. The only old sounds I wish were back are the classic death sounds for soldiers. Everything else is fine. I love the updated Light Tank firing sound. It's like an orgasm for my ears. But seriously, sometimes you gotta update stuff. The sounds would probably be noticeably lower in quality in comparison to the rest. Some people would find it jarring I think.
  17. I remember that! That was so awesome.
  18. Wow, you know... It's such a simple idea but at the same time incredibly fascinating. But I think the way the fields are set up would make it kinda difficult. (If they've made the fields in the way I think they have) but still. Sounds super neat.
  19. Very true, SFJake. But in the end, I don't mind. The way I see it I'm just lucky to have it. If what I've read on the forums is true then in the end I probably wouldn't have had this mode at all. If they improve the bots then I would be very happy, I'm sure quite a few people will. But right now the bots let me enjoy the game in some shape or form without lagging to hell and back and that's great.
  20. And a GDI Grunt would be able to tell our tanks from a rock in the ground if they took off their stupid goggles.
  21. I agree with this it was a lot more fun repairing when you was taking damage constantly from explosions, having to take turns healing other engineers as well as repairing the building. Also meant more moolah!
  22. If you made it an option in the options menu, that'd make it pointless. You'd be making one engineer better than another simply because one activated the ability in the options. (Assuming the other engineer didn't know it was there) I'm against this, I like how Engineers work and keeping it true to Renegade would be much better. It's more difficult to be an engineer and makes it more rewarding to earn your credits for healing units. Also helps stop turtling as much.
  23. But TotemAatz, the GDI say the only reason they fight in the first place is because you fight for what you believe in, however foolish it apparently is. They say you challenge world peace, but you say other wise. How can you possibly know which one is truly in the right here?
