  1. Is there a way for me to increase the bot limit for my skirmish games? The amount of bots I can have seems to have fluctuated A LOT since the Open Beta started. It used to be a large amount then about 52 now I can't reach that number. Is there a way I can set the cap myself instead of having it dictated to me by a server check or something? I'd love to play Skirmish the way I like. Thanks for any replies.
  2. Skirmish is more than welcome in my books, as I've said many many times before. Don't say it shouldn't exist just because its not useful to YOU. That's just being ignorant. Time to find out where I can edit the bot names.
  3. I made a topic about it a while ago. I live in Australia so horrendous pings and servers are mostly empty when I'm online. I sometimes go online but not always. Depends if I'm up for it.
  4. Dude seriously? Gotta try this! Thanks for pointing that out. It only works in skirmish mode. Online has this function disabled. Skirmish is all I ever play.
  5. Where is the rock exactly and how did you repeat it? More info would be good so I can try to recreate it myself to add more info on it. See if it helps the team.
  6. Did your shot go THROUGH the HON window and then through another window? Nice aim dude! Hahah That's great.
  7. I can't wait to make some Infantry maps for Renegade X. It's gonna be a good time. I'm going to make Daisy Cruiser for sure. *rubs hands evilly*
  8. That gun that Patch uses? I cannot aim down the sights for that thing. It's not that it's hard but the animation is trash and I hate it. Besides shooting from the hit means I hit anything with it anyway so I don't get it. I can't say I'm a fan of the ranges either but I can live with it I guess. But sometimes it can feel like the range on say, the soldiers AR is a tad short. But that's just me. I've learnt to adapt but it was a strange one. I play in third person exclusively so having to aim down sights sometimes is hard and jarring. In games I enjoy when I aim down the sights in third person it just makes your reticle smaller and zooms in the camera a tiny bit which I think is better. But that's me.
  9. I think I mispoke and it was actually Red Alert 1. Can't recall it has been quite a long time.
  10. I played that Red Alert 2 mod for Renegade... when Renegade mods were dead online that is. I'd love to see THAT ported over to Renegade X.
  11. I turned it off in advanced options and found it to be a much more enjoyable map. Still a bit bleugh, but better.
  12. You're so mature, Christopher. Your compelling argument has made me see how right your comment was! Not. I agree I'd love to see GDI vs GDI and vice versa. I'd definitely love to see a kind of 'stealth' war with NOD vs NOD and just a pure brawn fight with the GDI sides.
  13. Some people confused the New Uniform pick up with a Spy pick up. So that's a thing some people should take into account.
  14. The chance doesn't seem that slow. I got killed 10 out of 10 times on Walls Flying from those crates. I never get anything good.
  15. Dude seriously? Gotta try this! Thanks for pointing that out.
  16. I agree that I'd like them to be a bit more distinguished. Chem Warriors I remember were super easy to kill though, so maybe what Trev suggested? Give them the suit but with a hazmat mask so their head isn't as big.
  17. Australia to Europe is about 450-500 (From Western Australia) and USA can be anything from 250+. It's an ever present hurdle for me to play games I like since games die quickly in Aus. i even made a topic thanking the devs for Skirmish so I can still enjoy Renegade X! I can very much understand your point, though. I agree that spread should never be there to make it easier. But with the amount of spread in Renegade X I think it's fine. It's not so bad that it makes it better to aim from the hip or anything, but it's just enough to help with lag compensation. And I'm sure it wasn't that way by design, just a happy accident. If a game ever did it on purpose though, there'd be questions asked for sure. It's basically the issue of me being in the Southern Hemisphere and everything else that's cool... not being in there. You can still totally play with high ping. Most people in my opinion have learnt to play with lag and play somewhat okay despite our horrendous handicap. That's why I say spread is good. I will aim down the sights for long range but at close range that spread is the only thing that would keep me alive when my opponent has ping advantage. The main factor playing in for Australian lag is the huge distance and the quality of Australias internet. (We're ranked in the lowest in the world in terms of quality.)
  18. I didn't say it was a reason to have it, I'm saying it's a convenient side effect for some people. It's not like it's a reward. It just means you can kinda hit dudes and assist your team in any small way possible. (Also that's a nice middle finger to me. There's not exactly an Australian server I can join most of the time)
  19. Do the Devs take issue with Hourglass or something? I mean sure it wasn't a map i particularly liked but there seems to be something going on here. I'm keen for the return of City_Flying.
  20. Spread also helps people with high pings survive longer. Aiming from the hip in a fire fight when lagging is a great way to contribute if your lag compensation skills aren't up to snuff. (Effectiveness of your work not up for discussion, though. )
  21. The reload and damage on the Orcas machine gun is PAINFUL. I don't mind the Apache as much with it's guns. The reload times are okay, I suppose. The damage is good but I like the idea of specializing them. The Machine Guns could make better anti-infantry on the Orcas side, imho.
  22. Did the flame tank turn around and give the Stank a reach around? Gotta be polite, TC.
