  1. If anything I quite miss the classic death sounds. I don't know how to describe them but you know the ones they've used in the RTS's as well as Renegade? Mostly on NOD units. I love those sounds. Obviously it's not like the boink which is a notification of a kill. But still I like those soldiers voices.
  2. McFarland Flak Cannon start at 150 credits start completely dominates Nod. Absolutely. I love that weapon. It's also a GREAT weapon overall. Might see a nerf. Honestly, if I can take a, uh, Stank health percentage of 1% per alt fire, might be too strong. I'm not so sure. The long range capabilities of that weapon aren't so great. Like most units of his type you're easily sniped. Your alt is your saving grace. The damage is a tad high but I think a range nerf would be the best bet if anything.
  3. I agree. It may not be very Renegade, but it is still a very good idea. It could work out well and aesthetically makes sense. Nice thinking.
  4. But think about it. The Mammoth Tank fights back from that location. It's being repaired by a Hotwire and gaining health back over time. The NOD team needs to be working together to shoot at that Mammoth. So team work is involved. Meanwhile there are other tanks and GDI units attacking those defenses AND your units. The defenses are weak, they can be taken out by a simple Humvee or two. A couple of shots from any of those units at range will take them down. If the guy in the Mammoth is smart, he'd use the rocks down the centre for cover or keep going back and forth from the line of sight of the defenses to stay unharmed. Its stuff like this that needs to be taken into account for judging whether something is OP or not. In White Out there's 3 lanes to manage in your defense. Any number of units can come from both sides. It's easy to see that it'd be easy for your turrets to be overwhelmed by units if you're on the defensive. But that's how I see it.
  5. Not overpowered at all. It's a lone mammoth tank, not firing at you. It hasn't got an engineer/technician/hotwire accompanying it and there isn't any other type of back up. It's kinda hard to say it's over powered when proper tactics aren't being used and it's attacking a stationary target.
  6. It does sound like large quantities of APCs versus minimal amounts of tanks. A large amount of anything in Renegade can be dangerous. But I gurantee if it was 7 APCs vs 7 Medium Tanks or upward, they'd lose. But if its say, 1 or 2 Tanks vs the 7 then yes. They would lose. The small amount of damage going at a constant rate adds up very fast and would eradicate anything if it didn't have backup.
  7. Wasn't this one of those rules that was banned in most servers? It was pretty OP at the best of times. But easily avoided if they were in a weak vehicle.
  8. I cannot thank the developers enough for the implementation of the Skirmish mode in Renegade X's Open Beta. I live in Australia so finding a game for fan projects like this can be a horrendous hassle at the best of times. A lot of games that I enjoy die quickly on the Aussie side of the world, and I have to deal with 300+ pings in order to enjoy those games. There's sometimes a small batch of fellows that would play something but that's not always the case. So as I've grown up I've grown to adore playing against bots. It's one of my favourite things! Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2, Battlefied, Call of Duty. Whatever game has bots in it or has the modding capabilities to add them, I play it. I saw on these forums some people talking very negatively about AI and the developers talking about the coding it took to make them work. I just want to say, thank you. Thank you so very much for sticking to your guns and releasing this option along with the build. I know it wasn't easy, I make mods myself. So I'm glad you did. You've added the thing I've wanted more than anything to C&C: Renegade. It's always been my favourite shooter so it's made me super sad that the mods could never give me a good skirmish option. Until now. I know this sounds corny but I really wanted to express how deeply thankful I am to the developers for making an option others would normally overlook. Some people may say Skirmish is stupid and isn't needed. But think about some players that just can't find a game for whatever reason. They'd be thankful. Just like me. Keep up the great work.
