    C&C and EA

    I have yet to buy the actual retail version of C&C4, but from I read from people is that the AI in C&C4 is actually very, very good. Probably the best in the series.

    Well, killed it with C&C4. I actually really like RA3. I seem to be the only one who does but you know what? That's just how I feel about it. It was the only game that was modeled in a way that compelled me to play it online. I only started playing C&C with Renegade. I didn't know what it was until Renegade. Actually, no I didn't know what C&C was even when I had Renegade because I didn't play my first RTS C&C until a couple years later. Not only that, but I didn't start playing Renegade as soon as it came out. I got it as a Christmas gift almost a year after its release. I spent most of the first year or two of Renegade in either single player or skirmish. Then I learned of RA2 and started to play that a bit. In fact, that was my first online game experience. Then, later that same day, I decided to try Renegade online and I've been hooked ever since. My point is, I play very few online games and RA3 met my standards for doing so. Games like C&C3, Generals, RA2, TS, etc... not so much.
  3. There are normally peak hours but it has died down a little since its release. A new patch will breathe more life into it.
  4. Speaking of new habits, I've gotten into the routine of turning the on headlights on my vehicles. No one else ever seems to do it so you can always tell what vehicle I am from a distance :V
  5. I heard the story was really bad and the campaign really short. Since I've already played the multiplayer (which is horrible) I've totally lost all temptation to buy this game. I'll probably get it eventually... just to have it. But not for a long time.
  6. I'll get it eventually. The multiplayer aspect is horrible because of the lack of economy and human vs human interface. It has more potential to be fun as a single player game because other people wont use all the ways to create free units to ruin the game. I've realized that the only reason why the multiplayer is so bad is because there is no economy. No credits to spend and earn. And in turn that ruins the flow of the game. If there were credits to earn and units (as well as respawning crawlers) cost money, then the game would be sooooooooooooooo much more fun that it isn't even funny. The lack of base building is not a bad aspect to the game because it's explainable and it makes sense according to the story. The only things that aren't explainable are: -Lack of economy -Friendly, non-harmful, flying Tiberium from the sky.
  7. I don't think it would work to well. This game is more about getting out and moving around the field. Not really about holding positions with infantry as long as you can. 90% of the time that you run out of ammo is when you are using it in a non-life-threatening situation. (Like sniping across the field) In those cases you have to go back to base to refill just so you can create openings and not be able to camp the spot the entire game. Hotwires and technicians are already the most cost efficient as well as most valuable infantry units in the game, they don't need any more special abilities.

  15. Why would that be a problem? If an enemy is close enough to hear the harvester honking at your stank, then they could either: 1. Think that the harvester is honking at them. 2. Be able to see the stealth tank to begin with.

  19. It really depends on what type of missile, but they can get pretty big. They can range in size from Short-Range Missiles to ICBMs
  20. Most of the time people give it back when you use the 'get out of the vehicle' radio command. Every single person who was on my team and got into one of my vehicles got back out when I used that command. If that advise doesn't work, then use the direct means of intervention: DON'T GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE!

  23. Then what about just honking when it's in proximity to a vehicle? That way you get alerted to its presence and have a better chance of not accidentally running into it when you aren't looking. It should have a unique horn that is different than the other vehicles.

  25. Could you maybe get it to stop before it collides into vehicles and honk until they move? I think it's excessive weight is dumb. Isn't there a way to make it so we can't push it and it can't push us? (Or drive under us?)
