  1. I understand you are planning game modes? I have a few ideas for some. Some of these are based on old beta renegade modes. Some are based on more popular game modes. Deathmatch You are put in a small arena, and you need to fight to the kill. Whoever has the most kills wins. Team Deathmatch Same as deathmatch, only with teams. Sometimes a barracks may be present as well. Last Man Standing Same as deathmatch, except, players get a limited amount of lives. Whoever is the last man standing wins. There are no 1 hit kill weapons in this mode. These are small modes that allow players to have a little fun in between big matches. They last a maximum of 10 minutes. Capture the Flag: You need to capture the opposing team's flag. That flag will be on the pedestal. Getting an enemy flag to your own pedestal, will give you points. You must also protect your own flag. Whoever has the flag will only be able to use a pistol, and will not be able to drive vehicles, but may use transports. King of the Hill There is an area of strategic significance to the sides. Perhaps a crashed alien mothership, a store of ore, or a chemical lab. Whatever it is, the teams must control the area for a set amount of time. If that team controls the area for that set amount of time, they will win. However, you are also going to need to protect your own base, as the comm centers, war factorys, Super Weapon Facilties, and more are important to your victory.
  2. UDK includes a netcode, so there is no need to buy one. Since there is a lack of questions, I have another: How many new original maps are planned for the standalone multiplayer release? Will there be any new renegade remakes?
  3. I beleive the scottish guy will replace the tib auto sydney. How long can we expect the next multiplayer release? One year? 2?

  5. Actually, I don't think he was ever denied a position. I think that he said that he was going to finish up his Ren Map first, Fjords, and then come here. He is currently working on Noddingham, the final unreleased ren map, and Tiberium Garden, which according to him can be ported to UDK or any other Game Engine.

  7. I didn't even see that post. I agree, download speeds are atrocious. Espicially on sites that normallygo top speed. My top speed iis 160 KB/S. The top speed for the HTML downloads that I canceled were 1 KB/s
  8. Downloading this now. I took the whole night, and it is still not ready. Anyway, just because something is impressive by indie standards, does not mean that it is good. The limited resources still canmess up things. I am noticing that this has a bad AI....
  9. When is this video coming out? I would like to at least be able to see the questions answered before downloading BD.
  10. The time of the map would probably depend on difficulty and skill. If you are on easy, headshotting every single enemy soldier that comes around, then it would probably be 1 hour. If you were on hard, and you have trouble defeating technicians with pistols, expect this to be 3-6 hours. Remember, this is based on common sense and logic.
  11. I hate this bill. I live in america, and this effects me directly, until google goes to Kenya or something. Thankfully, some people in congress are against the bill. And hopefully the courts arenot corrupted enough where they will leave the bill alone.

  15. One of the newer maps in renegade, Fjords, showcases just how perfect renegade could have been. When Renegade X is released, I will hopefully make something out of that idea.
  16. Yes, it was. There is a sound file in the always.dat. This also applied to the grenade launcher as well.
  17. Dear Jam, Will Rocket Launchers have the secondary fire that fires three rockets like renegade was going to have? What about granade launchers? Are you planning to give flamethrowers a new secondary fire?
  18. With the port to UDK, would you allow, with restrictions, the ability to replace textures, sounds, and more? With restrictions means that a server owner needs to allow them first, like TT did with the Anti Cheat Hash Check.
  19. I would like to see with the new morph system, Weakpoints. Meaning a shot to the sides will do more damage than a shot to the turret. A shot to the ammo area, is hard, but with volts can be done, makes the tank blow up in a large explosion, killing the driver and damaging others in the area.
  20. We can make it immune, the scripts the APB team uses makes the aircraft immune to everything until it is about, 1 foot off the ground (This also means it can telefrag stuff). And it is more Command And Conquer like, in cnc 95, if you had aircraft on all of your helipads, a helicopter will come from the side of the map and land near a helipad.   21. One of the things that I don't like about renegade is how flying vehicles are made. An apache is made by flying the flying vehicle in with a plane. An orca is made by using the same parts you would normally find in tanks. This doesn't make sense. Could you guys handle it as how the APB team handle it? where the helicopter flies in from the edge of the map, and lands near the helipad? this is good becuase: It makes sense (And is more Cnc Like) It allows the vehicles and helicopters to be seperate similar to CnC Discuss
