  1. They have their own unique name and looks so you will recognize them from a distance. You differently don´t want to run into a mobius or medusa when you are under-powered for an infantry fight. I saw games with these ''There can only be one'' rule built in. Somehow it will always be the troll that gets the unique characters. So no thank you, I prefer to vote this one down.

  2. Use the "~`" button. It shows chathistory. Also people can how start a vote for whatever you want, for example:

"Let's flame rush, who likes to help?" F1: Yes F2:No

Then you even can know or others will join your ideas or that everyone prefer to be a retard.

  3. No.

    This.

    Indeed!

Well there is no more strategic in place once you cannot make any expectations of your enemy anymore. For example if you have 201hp/ap and you got hitten by a sniper, then you know you can handle one shot. But with weapon customization, you can not expect how the weapon of the enemy will react.

  4. These avatars is where EA was starting to make C&C more crappy. In C&C3 the whole NOD base did even look like Nod did exist out of circus tents. In my opinion mech technology, which is extreme high-tech should only be a part of GDI. So far my opinion...

And then the biggest point against it, Renegade did never happen during the period of C&C3, it was long before C&C3 took place. Die-hards will not like it when someone is going to mess to much with all the 'timeline' sense of C&C3, even while EA did mess up the ending of the series.

  5. no there seems to be a tiberian dawn effect or something... maybe it was a serverside mod... i have no idea.

it happens on lakeside map and is announced in the chat. similar to the earthquakes in lakeside...

in this mode (which stays until the end of the map), the map gets covered in a dark green light and makes it nearly impossible to see anything in dark spaces (like cave, forest, a lot of corners, ecc.).

    noone saw that?

You activated night vision on accident ;). LOL

  6. it is not a bug or glitch, however "FLAMING" is not allowed in most servers, this is not just for Renegade. A lot of Battlefield servers also forbid flaming. Renegade-X has rules according to abuse (u shall not cheat), however servers also have their own rules. Be nice and respect the rules, they keep the game fun for everyone.

  7. A browser is never made to download such big files. You really need a download manager for that. A download manager can restart where is was left the last time it was downloading. But for such sizes, a torrent is still the most stable way to download.

  8. For the moment being, I prefer Teamspeak rather tank squads for VoIP. If the devs. have to focus on stuff, I prefer a smooth game, VoIP is more as an addition feature that could be added once the game reaches a stable 1.0 non-beta.

Additional, squads doing teamplay is called squadplay not teamplay.

  9. Well, organizing rushes isn't done that well lately with all these new players, no offense, but they are not used to teamchat a way to win.

And the Ion and nuke that I mentioned, are ways to kill it, another would be holding the doors open of a building so a tanks shoots in it and kills the engineers, and there are a lot more ways to prevent a stalemate. Be more creative and you will win ;).

  10. There is a fix: ion/nuke.

Also if a building is repaired to well, you should target another one to kill. Also there are distraction tactics where you prepare a rush and first shoot 1 or 2 shots on a structure so all engineers will move to it, and then change your fire to your primary target.

And if that all fails, get a rush together, move in, plant a nuke/ion and defense it. It is not hard, trust me...

All these newbies just don't know the Renegade strategies and start complaining about Renegade not having strategies. Well first you have to understand the basics, and strategies will be gain by playing hours, days or even months. You can't be a pro in one day in this game.

  11. Crates are not in a map to feed the fats. They are there for those who cannot afford new tanks or infantry because they are low credits, or because of building destruction.

They are a gamble for those who want to get something useful for their team (or himself). They should not be considered as a second credit income ! A gamble worth to take if there is some "hope" needed for the enemy team, to prevent them from rage-quit.

Also you could be glad there is no negative credit crate, since some servers had them in the original Renegade.

  12. Id have to agree on the graphics and velocity of weapons parts in particular. Almost too much graphical interference. Gameplay should triumph realism and looks in a renegade based game. The current graphics make it seem like priorities were elsewhere. They are beautiful and well designed, but not for a multiplayer game, as mentioned. Too much interference for the players is just a huge hinderence.

The velocity is lower than it is in renegade. When you add the sprint feature, it essentially made it a double Nerf to infantry vs infantry combat. There needs to be some sort of "start up sprint speed" to make the sprint not so instantly fast. There also needs to be some sort of edit to strafing while sprinting. Currently, you change direction from one angle to the next instantly. Please make a cutting animation that takes a fraction of a second while sprinting in order to change direction. The characters are far too agile. Sprinting should also have its negative impacts as well, besides that of not being able to shoot. Please add the startup sprint speed (meaning sprinting gradually increases to its max speed over a couple of seconds), as well as the "cut/strafe" animation and delay.

You were a phase 3 beta tester, why did you not bring any of this up during testing

All testers that are still tester are tester because they have done their job right. You never can find all issues till it is played 24/7. The resources this project has (no investments, no paid coders) make it hard to deliver a clean game on the first open beta. Also a project build without investments need to prioritize their focus, and then there is still something like "one opinion" or "real issue". If you look to beta phase One and the current built, then there is certainly a lot changed because of the testers feedback.

Don't blame the testers, don't blame the devs. please blame yourself for being inpatient.

  13. Tell me, is there any way to get behind the barracks on field (past the barricade)? Because I've seen two nukes back there. I can't find a way to jump over the barricade and I really, really doubt that someone harvester walked and then managed to get all the way back there even if the AGT was momentarily distracted.

It could be a spy. The longer a match takes before one team wins, the more often people will get spies from crates. These spies wear the suit of the enemy. There are only 2 ways to detect a spy. Check every friendly player if he is on your radar. Or target them, if they turn red then feel free to empty your magazine.

It also could be a hack, I wasn't there...

  14. This could fix it if you are using a windows 32-bit

Startup Crash on Windows 32bit only:

    On Windows 7, 8, or Server 2013:
    1.)Run command prompt as admin.
    2.)Type in "BCDEdit /Set IncreaseUserVA 3072"

I also had this problem, but I did just choose to upgrade to 64-bit. Then the whole problem is no more.
