  3. I have an average of 200 ping on MP Gaming. I can't seem to get in a vehicle as it comes out of the WF(AS), but other than that things seem fine.
  4. gg everyone. Before the game, I spoke to the guy in TS who made Islands (I think his name was zixxer or something correct me if I am wrong), and he asked me what kind of setting I'd like to see in a map. It hit me a bit later that a forest type setting would be pretty cool, as well as something new. Lots of trees would mix gameplay up a bit for infantry and vehicles both me thinks. Just thought I would throw that out there in case he reads the forums...

  6. This. Also, enforcing a rule against typekilling is just silly. People would just exploit it by typing when they know they're about to be in trouble, hence my earlier post.
  7. The team that works together in that manner is likely to win anyway, if you ask me. Three minutes wont make such a difference.
  8. I agree, as I do quite a bit of spotting and sneaking around. Besides, what is even wrong with typekilling (a little annoying, I know)? Is it against the rules on your server? If so, I have an idea.....

  12. Cool to see the mod still active. Are people still playing regularly? Regardless, I'll definitely start playing again once it is ported to UDK, maybe then I can get other people to tag along too.

  14. The developers intend to keep the game mechanics mostly the same as in the original Renegade. Anyways, your suggestion would make the artillery units into nothing more than sitting ducks, because the game has more of an arcade style than one of realism. Change one thing to a different style of play and then you'd have to change just about everything else.
  15. I loved marathon servers, but I was just a kid when I played the original and had a lot of time on my hands. Still, on the weekend you bet I would give one a shot here
  16. I haven't played in a week or so, but that is because I've been super busy IRL. I'm still popping in to read the forums though, and I'll try and play sometime soon.

  18. I favor stealth as well, but beacons should be made to give the proper warning first.
  19. I think the wreckage thing is cool, but it definitely makes rushing harder, which is already made harder than in Renegade because of the tougher base defences.
  20. Agreed, I just killed a mammy defending its base on hourglass with an arty because of the range issue.
