My max with he noobjet was 3. Sidenote: I really hated using the ramjet for sniping, I felt like a major nub. 500 reloads faster, fires faster, and has no bullet time. Both are OHKO's to the head so the choice is obvious on which to pick. However, I've never managed a double headshot kill with the 500 sniper before... Is this because only the ramjet pierces past one person?

I can't believe we're making this big of a deal over a rope.....

Just because someone is elected team leader doesn't mean people will listen to them anyways. Plus, most people just wanna come in game to do their own thing and have fun. If it's an important game where winning matters, there is going to be a designated leader to begin with. If you all recall from the previous Renegade, the team commander never really controlled too much outside of using the !buyvech and other commands when the vehicle limit was reached.

I do have Windows Vista installed, but I try to use it as little as possible. I prefer to dual boot into Ubuntu 8.10 and I am wondering if anyone else here uses a Linux distro. Will we be able to play this game under Linux? It's fine if it can't since I'll just boot into Vista but if it could that would just be another bonus added to this already amazing game.

I've lived in America my whole life. I wouldn't say people are so much idiots as they are just very very ignorant and apathetic. Some of it though is like what Might BOB! said, that some information gets lost overtime because it is not practical in our daily life (a writer will never need to sin/cos/tan or combination/permuation equations).

Does anyone remember a sniper named R4IN? He was probably the greatest sniper I've ever come across. I remember on Walls Flying once he nullified our entire team's medium tank rush simply by headshotting us all from the cliff before we could even get into our vehicles. I wasn't too bad of a sniper too back in my day (especially with the 500 sniper), but damn. That guy was something else.

What Renegade servers did you play on back when you were still active? I played on Black-Cell's marathon and AOW servers. I also enjoyed st0rm's co-op server, those were always entertaining.

Got it on sale with a coupon for 8 bucks. It's sitting on the shelves until the day Renegade X gets released ;] I don't even like UT3, I prefer 2004. I just want to play Renegade again lol.

The simple solution to that is not getting out of your vehicle until you're in your base lol. I always hated when someone on my team would buy a mammoth tank, take out in the dead middle of the Islands map, and get out to heal it only for an SBH to carjack him. Heal in base. If you're not going to make it back to base than just let the thing die, it's not like you can outheal the damage that is being delt to you anyways. On the flip side, it was also fun being an SBH and taking advantage of those people.

Do you guys remember spamming the radio keys in the original renegade? Especially the "move out" key when a rush was starting to move. Just wondering if they are still going to be like that in Renegade X. In the original Renegade if you spammed a key more than 6 times than you were muted for 30 seconds I believe. But you could spam all 6 really fast and if that's all you spammed than you wouldn't be muted. Just thought it'd be cool if we still had that in Renegade X, some little touches from the old days.

I failed the recommended stats too, though my stats are a little less impressive 2.0 GHZ Core2Duo 4GB DDR2 ram running at 667 MHZ Geforce 9400 with 512MB RAM
