Beta 5 doens't allow new maps in game browser

we can no longer try out new maps they will not show up in skirmish browser this is really sad

Remember that the udkmenu.ini could be reseted by the update. Go and set up the configurations as necessary.

Alternatively, f5 and type "open [mapname]"

Beta 5 uses a new way of adding maps which is a lot easier to setup for map makers as it does not require editing existing ini files. In the SDK mappers will notice an example ini file called "CNC-TestMap_MP.ini" which will add the test map in the menu. So all mappers have to do now is add a new ini file for every map they make with all of the settings defined within that one ini. This means they no longer have to get players to edit their ini files to show the maps in the menu. They simply have to include a custom ini file with their map name and settings defined with in it, and include that with their map file.

This is all going to be even easier in 5.003, as it will only require adding a .ini file to the UDKGame/config folder that holds the map and all of its necessary info (e.g mine-limit/vehicle limit etc). So long as it has a proper ini file in that folder it'll show up in skirmish.

As for on the launcher... I assume it will do that to.
