Alright, downloaded and installed. This'll be my first Unreal-based game, however I've played a few other FPS's (including Renegade all the way through), as well as C&C, and lots of Yuri's.

I intend to try single player first, as well as checking out tips sections and the like so I can be useful to my team when I actually play mp.

The only teamspeak I've used was the in-game one on BF2, so I might stick with text chat at first, unless there are ppl on a server to give me orders/objectives.

And now I'm rambling from excitement, hahaha, off I go to see if I'm right about there bein' single player mode.

My advice to you as a new guy is to stay away from using proximity mine. It's a thing that even some veterans are unable to do it right in the right place. Just do it when you're really sure where and how many you should place

Whenever i play a game i'm not familar with, the first things i always do is listen and observe. Read the chat, look how others play the game, it allows you to learn the game without making a fool out of yourself first

After i feel like i know enough about the game and have enough experience to not make myself look stupid, i start talking and discussing and whatnot, join in on all the other fun stuff with is socialisation with the community .
