Sighz
Joining servers sometimes does not put you in the correct server as the one you selected in the menu. This was reproduced by 3 separate computers with 3 different ISPs (trying to join together on 1 server). We had to constantly leave the server and keep retrying until it placed us in the correct server. Has anybody else had this issue when trying to play with friends? RypeL
Did you join through the external launcher or the ingame serverbrowser ?
lauri455
Yeah, in-game browser is all over the place. It joins random servers, doesn't show server's port (that would be actually useful), shows wrong player count/password status, etc. Launcher browser works fine tho. It'd be nice if the launcher could push the join command to the game if it's already running.
Sighz
We used the in-game browser. I actually haven't tried using the launcher browser, although the results would most likely be similar to lauri455's results. I'll give it a shot when I am able and report back here to confirm. Aunt Jemima
Same thing happens to me, the in-game browser is basically useless and throws me into a random server about 95% of the time. I'm trying to play with friends and it's very frustrating.
Noodlesocks
Boyfriend and I both noticed this last night when using the in game browser. The launcher browser works perfectly though.
Dav3
There are major issues with both server browsers. Ingame only shows 5 at a time, with bizar options and what not. The out of game browser is shoddy and crashes, doesnt list ping, hit refresh ping and it goes to not responding and needing to close it. SFJake
The out of game browser also does not sort properly by player count which is very annoying. Both don't show pings. The out of game browser is the best to use, and I didn't personally experience any crash. However, its still flawed, and if you don't delete videos from the game folder (which I most certainly did), you have to watch those movies way too much when joining servers (which are unskippable!) Valor
The Launcher does show ping, you just have to click on Ping Refresh and wait.
R315r4z0r
The out of game browser is shoddy and crashes, doesnt list ping, hit refresh ping and it goes to not responding and needing to close it. It is pinging all the servers when it goes not responding. Give it about 20 seconds and it will come back with all the server ping's listed. IMO, I think it would be nice that if you select a server in the server browser, it automatically pings it. That way you can ping an individual server without having to wait for it to ping all of them.
SFJake
Mh, I didn't even know about the ping refresh, thats nice, but it takes QUITE a while.
Sighz
Yep can confirm, the launcher server browser places you in the correct server whilst the in-game one randomly moves you around. HaTe
The in game browser is bugged. If you sort it in anyway, it joins in into the server that used to be in the position you are joining. Do not sort in anyway if you use the ingame browser until it is fixed. Either that or use the launcher
Ranger Albatross
My friend is trying to use the launcher. He's getting a malformedurl security exception error. It's a java error
Clark910
I cant even join anything. I click join and nothing happens. I cannot even get into in-game menu.
perfectblue
Same issue for me and a friend using both the launch client server list and in game.
