  1. After BF3 I find hard to enjoy anything that has "Metro" in its name, so pardon me for not being too excited for this map. That said, I'm glad that we've got Aircraftkiller on board. Hopefully we'll see something nice in near future.
  2. It was pretty big for a Renegade map. Each base had two adv. defense structures. That's all I remember
  3. Totally agree on getting rid of Ion/Nuke death crates. Not only it can sometimes drop your fps for no reason (other than some dude who walker over a crate), but it also can kill teammates/enemies around the guy, which is flat-out dumb.
  4. What's up with the Tiberian Wars hate? It's a good game.
  5. Shotgun is pretty good in RX. I'd say it's much better than it was in vanilla. Hint: ADS before shooting.
  6. With one bullet left in the barrel, ADS and then immediately shoot. If you got the timing right, you'll keep full movement speed and ADS accuracy* without ironsights in your face, FOV will decrease to ADS FOV. Once glitched, you cannot unzoom without changing weapons. If you ADS again after swapping weapons, it'll glitch again. Refilling doesn't fix the issue, so you can glitch the gun, refill and go shoot dudes in the face. Affected weapons: Pistol, Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Marksman rifle, possibly other automatic/semi auto guns that can ADS. On a side note, I think this is how ADSing with a shotgun should work (kind of). No ironsights blocking your view, just zoom in the FOV a little, reduce movement speed and give a little bit of accuracy. * not entirely sure about the accuracy gain. Shotgun spread looks tighter, but it doesn't look all that better with other guns.
  7. Squad feature would be great, especially for big servers. VoIP is in my opinion a necessity for any team-orientated game.
  8. On Walls, GDI harv very often freezes near the Refinery. Since it's a pretty heavy vehicle, there's no way to unfreeze it.
  9. Happened to me a few times as well. Standing in the middle of Field, repairing a tank, boom, suicide. I also actually managed to "suicide" when I was driving a tank, in the middle of a battle of course.
  10. It's less about adding Renguard specifically and more about having any kind of anti-cheat.

  12. If you can't join a server, try disconnecting from the main menu. Open up the console and type disconnect. It'll "refresh" your "main menu session" and joining should work.
  13. I guess my memory just fails me in that regard, but still, it'd be interesting to see how things work out with hitscan guns.
  14. Maybe he's talking about motion blur or some other eyecandy graphic setting? OP, try disabling bloom, lens flare, montion blur, ambient occlusion and post process effects.
  15. I wonder why it was changed from the original Renegade. IIRC, in vanilla Ren, all guns were hitscan. It made sense. Game's very arcade'y and adding projectile based guns doesn't really make that much sense. As RX went into open beta, I hear this complaint more and more often from people in chat or from my friends who have played and haven't played the original. Predicting player movement takes skill in itself, and now we have to compensate for bullet velocity as well. Doesn't it make the gunplay a little bit overcomplicated, especially with TTK so high? I'd like to hear from devs on that matter. I'd also like t know if they'd be willing to change things around if community wanted it.
  16. AFAIK it's just the icon, you can't shoot AC130 bullets from an APC.
  17. Absolutely agree. Also, chat only shows up like 3 or 4 lines of text. It should be 6 minimum. That said, you can always read the chat in the console.
  18. Yeah, in-game browser is all over the place. It joins random servers, doesn't show server's port (that would be actually useful), shows wrong player count/password status, etc. Launcher browser works fine tho. It'd be nice if the launcher could push the join command to the game if it's already running.

  20. They actually have a pretty darn good AI. The 4v40 match was pretty much a suicide. As crazy and silly it was, it still was kinda fun. We got MRLS rushed after 5 minutes of the game. We almost couldn't leave the buildings we spawned in.
  21. It's a bot from UT3. You can also get few UT3 weapons by entering "allweapons" in console (Skirmish only).
  22. It's already possible. I actually played a 4man vs 40 bots game. That was fun.
  23. People won't play on an empty server. I'd wait and see how many people will play the game before hosting a server.
  24. Pretty sure there's enough people from EU to populate a server, but there's a twist to it.
