  1. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me solve a few things. Please note that it's been a while since I've played actively so I might just be overlooking something either in-game or here on the site itself. To keep things short, I need help with the following: 1. How do I enable the smooth movement cinematic style camera in spectator, as seen in this video series - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgGcLsZpln8? 2. Can I change my movement speed while flying through the map in that manner (more interested in offline skirmish if there is any difference)? 3. Is there any kind of temporary command line I could write to remove all HUD elements from my screen? 4. What is Totem Arts' (or whoever is taking care of the game now) policy on people using in-game footage in YouTube videos that get monetized at some point? Any restrictions or requirements? Does it involve EA in any way? 5. Do I need special permission to use map fly-through footage in videos where the topic at hand has nothing to do with RenX? Just for showing off the landscapes for instance, as a cinematic gamey touch while discussing something else unrelated? That's everything I would like to know for now and I really appreciate any assistance you good people could provide!
  2. I recall fiddling with the Direct 3D options, but it looks like it fixed it this time. So thank you for the advice. I got strange stuff like no intro videos (black) only with audio but that's really not important at this point. I'm just glad it finally works, so thanks!
  3. I think I went through that list at one point but for some reason nothing changed. I might have messed something up in the process. I'll do a fresh reinstall again and see if I can give Direct 3D related troublehooting a go!

  5. I don't have a high end machine but Renegade X always worked for me quite decently, and until a few months back after a patch or two the game doesn't want to load up anymore. It crashes before hitting the intros and main menu. UDK has stopped working if I recall correctly. I've since reinstalled Win7 and have done everything fresh and updated. Still nothing. The problems around the time regular small patches picked up, before the class overhaul where secondary weapons were added as tied into specific classes. Haven't been able to play since. Any ideas? Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 - 2.80 GHz ASUS P5QL-EPU Motherboard ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series 4 GB RAM (2+2) 400 GB HDD, 1 TB Storage HDD Windows 7 Ultimate I also remember the in game server list not showing any server map preview images prior to the game just stopping with all functionality. The launcher can load, but after thats it's just a black screen and then poof. I reinstalled RenX just yesterday via the currently available torrent, updated via the launcher and nothing changes. Any help would be much appreciated. EDIT: Some of the people I used to play with also told me that the game just stopped working for them or began to be too much for their PCs to handle and things like that. EDIT 2: I'm no troubleshooting expert, but this might be relevant...
  6. I haven't gotten any feedback from the Renegade X forum about this, but nevertheless I'd like to point out that new Tiberian Daylight episodes are indeed coming out. I've had to pause the whole project for quite a while, but now it's all coming back together. Episode #11 was just released today.   10. That's exactly why you need a dedicated defusal-defense team. I've seen GDI SBH spies fail, so it's not like they can't be countered. It's a lucky crate drop and an invaluable asset for the GDI team on maps such as Field in which stalemates happen quite often. Plus, it's a hell of a lot fun and the feeling of your heart pounding in your chest after you deploy that Ion Beacon as a SBH spy is just way too good to cut it from the game in my opinion.
  11. Great to see more RenX mapping tutorials! That will surely help out community mappers with everything UDK. I've already seen a lot of the other RenX map background vids such as the makings of or fly through videos, and I'll definitely be checking out any future ones aswell. Keep up the good work kenz3001!
  12. I have recently started making C&C themed comic strips (with LEGO) based on an alternate timeline during the events of Tiberian Sun! I've already included some Renegade references such as a Chemical Warrior type of character and plan on adding some more as I go along, considering that I'm doing my own fan fiction.   13. I saw some interesting new in-game items which I have yet to see in the Open Beta releases of Renegade X, such as the deployable Medical Kit, MG Sentry and a few others. When could we expect to see them in action? Source: @ 2:32
