Even though while that is true, instead of just watching it copy across files and have a loading type bar, Why not do something like C&C 95 or test drive unlimited, and have it display pictures while its installing? sort of there to keep peoples attention and get them sort of pumped up into wanting to play the game.

Hello fellows, Over the last few days i have been creating installer packages and doing network roll outs, you know the sort It has got me thinking, so i figured id ask this here that way others can respond with there thoughts on the matter. Considering the release of Renegade X is still quite a whiles away, but how is it going to work with its install package for the mod? is it going to be just a simple, self extracting set of archives that you point to your UT3 directory? or is it going to be something a bit more like the old WW style installers with the video / pictures set up type thing? While i love the old renegade way of installing, it can get a bit annoying, so whats the plans for the mods installer? Its just a random passing thought that sparked a bit of interest.

Yes you are correct the mod is still under development. Is there any other questions you have that we can address?

Has anyone played mirrors edge? i finished the game the other day, i picked it up started playing and couldn't stop untill i finished it, its a gem of a game like portal. only regrets is the game isn't very long and the storyline ends abruptly, other than that id say its a fast paced fluid game.

Though i am willing to 100% agree with people and say that C&C died when EA took over, but the thing that we have to remember is that most of the westwood staff and assests merged into EALA, So i am not 100% sure to blame EA just for all the faults.... sure they are pushy and have a shitty QA and are very bad with there Crunch times, But i am really starting to ask "did the old staff just give up? now are the fans left with shit?" Sure you can say that Petroglyph is WW now, but that's not true only a few staff members went across. Sure EA buys out a lot of smaller well named company's (yeah they even brought a bunch of Ubisoft shares as a direct attack) sure they killed BF, they also killed NFS and i can name many more. But the point i am getting at is, why aren't the studio staff saying No we cant do this, give us more time? or even pretending to care? Is EA truly a soul sucking monster of a company?
