  1. Thanks for the up. Seems Sarah has already installed it on the FPI server haha.

    Few features for the idea pool:

    • Auto restarter? (Im happy to explain how i handle auto restarting if needed)
    • Option to check and warn if Windows error reporting is enabled. (Check the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting/DontShowUI), then if the server crashes it doesnt hang on the error box.
    • I assume there is a way to check if the host server has cpu scaling enabled and also warn the user of the tool as well.
    • Allow the config tool to suggest tweaks for settings to change to improve performance?
    • Check the server specs and suggest a recommended player count?
    • Include MaxMapVoteSize, map vote history setting and bBotVotesDisabled

    Still not having to redo the settings manually with each patch is amazing.

  2. well i was more thinking of something interactive and that is out of date. Talks about side arms etc.

    Players need to be informed about over mining etc

    I admit thou i didn't know about that video, is it offered to all new players? maybe it should play when you install the game instead of the picture that shows? If you have to wait 10mins+ for the game to install might as well have that video there.

    Well you are to blame for that loss as well. It was me defending the tunnels with Bioz and you as the commander remove the mines, the only thing holding em back from the pp. Bioz quit the game when that happened as well.

    Haha i admit i was sore over it at the time but now its funny.

    On that note Renx is quite a complicated game and explaining anything other than the basics to new people is quite hard. Mine banning is all fine but half the time the damage is done. From irc its hard to know what overmining is legit and whats not.

    Example one of my guys Jason was repp'n the wf roof while we are screaming over the mic to rep the MCT. turns out we didnt explain what the MCT was to start with.

    Some sorta basic tutorial would go along way to get the newbies up to speed. I dont mind helping with that how i can.

  4. would be cool if you could use cp to power the defences to half strength for x amount of time (or could eat into the cp points till its at 0).

    or maybe commander could take other buildings offline to power the AGT/Obi.

    I would be worried it could drag out games that have already gone on for too long thou.

    Messing around recording demos and ingame footage n really the best thing ever happened Teamwork of mega proportions.

    I shouted out get arties hit the Ref then AGT, few other dudes agreed n before i knew it half of Nod had arties/supporting roles lol GDI didnt know what hit em!

  6. These are some solid changes. Looking forward to the new release although let's be real, it's probably okay that it's not coming out in the immediate future as we have more pressing issues on our hands.

    True RypeL still owes me some tacos.

    Also we going to include more custom maps (Update the current custom maps also) in this next update? More maps the better i say!

    With the new armor changes would be happy to try it again. Can you add an option to enable building armor after x minutes? Was thinking after 30mins if the map hasnt ended then could enable building armor.

  7. Could make it so the airdrop timers get longer and longer till its lost and recaptured?

    So if one team held it for to long would become less effective? Might promote more back and foward fighting.

    Or even make sure that tech building capture point is away from vechs?

    I quite enjoy running around a silo while a med chases me lol.
