  1. A 7b error is usually a problem with your hard drive, or a corrupt download. Try re-downloading and reinstalling the game. If that doesn't work, you may want to run chkdsk on your hard drive. Use google to find out how to do this.
  2. Are you encountering the error while running the launcher? If so, try running the game directly with the other shortcut. The launcher is having issues and we are looking into it.
  3. Please try the first fix found here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=72023
  4. That is the time in ms that it takes to render a single frame. 1 second / 60 frames per second = 0.01666s, or 16.66 ms.
  5. This has been fixed, and will be included in the first patch. For now, a workaround is to turn textures to medium or below.
  6. Crashing on map load is a common issue that we're working on fixing for our next patch. For now just rejoin the server.
  7. Can you try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Direct X end user runtime? It's available here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... aspx?id=35

  12. Do you have the most up to date driver for your video card? If not, try installing it and see if that fixes the issue. Also, please don't paste the contents of your log into the post, but attach the log file itself. I've edited your post to do that.
  13. While in-game you can also bring up the console with the tilde (~) key and type "SetName " followed by your desired name.
  14. Can you try completely uninstalling the C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, and uninstalling Renegade-X, then reinstalling The Residst Package and Renegade-X. If that fixes your issue, please post back here to confirm so we can pass the solution along to others.
  15. With 2gb of ram, I'm assuming you're on 32 bit windows? Can you try the first fix found here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=72023
  16. Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit windows? What version? Also, what are your system specs? Can you also attach your log file? Instructions on how to do that here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=72159
  17. I'm assuming you're referring to inverting the mouse's Y-axis? While ingame press the tilde (~) key to bring up the console, and type "InvertMouse"
  18. This is most likely an issue with our graphics settings. What graphics preset are you currently using? If you turn your "Graphics Preset" to Ultra on the main menu, do you get shadows?
  19. What are your system specs, what version of windows are you running, and is it 32 or 64 bit? Also, can you post your log file? Instructions to find it here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=72159

  21. Posting log files when a crash occurs gives us an idea of what went wrong. They can be found in the Renegade-X directory in "UDKGame/Logs" and named "Launch.log" For example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Renegade X\UDKGame\Logs\Launch.log" This will only be the log of the most recent time you ran the game. So if you run the game successfully after a crash, the log of the crash will be one of the "Launch-backup-XXX.XX.XX-XX.XX.XX.log" files. Please don't paste your entire log file into a post, but upload it as an attachment.
  22. You can also navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Renegade X\UDKGame\Config" wherever you installed Renegade-X. Open UDKSystemSettings.ini and search for "ResX=" and "ResY=" You can set your resolution here. This also can be used if your game isn't remembering resolution changes when you exit. 1920x1080 would look like: ResX=1920 ResY=1080
  23. Unfortunately, no. At the moment the keys are hard-coded to be Ctrl and Alt. It's something we can look at changing in a future patch though.
  24. VehicleLimit setting in the ini file isn't working:
  25. Try setting your texture settings lower, and see if that fixes the issue.
