STANISLAV Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Hello ! While working on my map, I had a problem with snipers. The map is open and there are many high places where you can climb, because of this there are a lot of places for snipers. The only solution is to add a lot of fog, but this greatly spoils the appearance of the map. Are there any other ways to make life more difficult for snipers? PS: I don’t know English so I use translator Quote
Fffreak9999 Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Line of sight blockers such as rocks and trees work wonders. However fog is good if you use it on the sniper areas, or drop the fog down over time, to affect the map slowly. Quote
STANISLAV Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 Is it possible to increase the amount of fog with increasing height(inverted Fog height falloff)? Quote
--==00G==-- Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 I'd rather you used line of sight blockers, or LOTS of tree cover. If the fog can be disabled via settings, it becomes pointless. If it can't, it can potentially be a framerate killer. Also I'd love to see some of the infantry paths become less "open" and more winding/twisty, this would negate alot of the distance advantage of snipers. Quote
Fffreak9999 Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Fog can no longer be disabled in NetPlay. As FogDensity has been disabled. Quote
