Where does it actually stop loading? Also if it's producing logs in the logging folder then post launch.log and it's probably going to show an engine error for either memory or D3D9 something or another.

When I launch the installer, it gives me a message saying that it looks like that i'm installing Renegade X for the 1st time or the installation is corrupted. It also gave me a prompt to install it, instinctively i did. It shows a screen, involving 2 GDI vehicles in combat ,for a split second before it crashes.

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd give you the heads up. The latest installer is broken, I know two separate people that have had this issue.

They download and install it, it installs some files.

They then run it, it says something about being the first time running the game and or the game is corrupted, you click yes to install and then a screen splashes up for half a second then nothing.

When troubleshooting this with one of those people i found if he ran the installer on the homepage listed on BETA 5.26, that this time after installing and running the launcher, the download window pops up and starts downloading 6.3 GB.

So the msi file for 5.27 is broken, probably not a good thing as new people would probably give up pretty fast after trying to install it.

Cheers
