Additional assets pack

If it was possible to put together a pack of additional assets for mappers to use would these assets have to go into an official update first before they'd be useable?

Or could we just include the assets along with the map files?

I know this is about half a month old but...

Yes, you can include it along with the map, but to prevent package mismatch, these assets must be final without any additional tweaks before being put to use by multiple maps
