Kick AFKs when no mod present

Hi,

Very often, when no mods are playing on EKT and TmX, AFK players are a big problem.

As on the one hand, the other team is also allowed to vote if you want to kick a person from your team. Often, due to trollvoters, you can't kick AFKs without many votes.

On the other hand, votes often don't get called, as it takes a lot of time to do, and if you are behind already you cannot spare the time.

As i understand it, there already exists an option to kick the AFKs, which is deactivated to be able to seed the servers. Why not activate this option automatically, when no mod is present?

This would make many games much more balanced and less tiresome...

Yeah, that was really annoying today.

NOD had 4 AFK players in one round, while GDI had none.

that's EKT's policy. I do believe you can kick when a certain player numbers are reached, or do Mods need to turn it on? I don't know, I don't moderate the server

I do. It's still being tested. It checks for chat, radio commands, and score to determine if the person is AFK or not. I think the server side detection is based on movement. Not sure.

Easy solution would be enable the afk kicking that exists. No one wants to do that though.

I believe one can make afk auto-kicker that works only when server is at certain number. Some designated afk are designed solely just to fill servers up after all
