Wyld1
My apologies if I missed it as I have been all over these forums, what are the minimum PC specs to run the game?
Valor
Here are the specs for Black Dawn, I believe the multiplayer version should be the same or very similar. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista 2.0+ GHz processor 2 GB system RAM SM3-compatible video card 4 GB free hard drive space Recommended : Windows Vista 64 SP2 2.0+ GHz multi-core processor 4 GB system RAM NVIDIA 200 series or higher graphics card Plenty of HDD space You also need an internet connection. Wyld1
Seriously? Recommended is Windows Vista? I'm reading that correctly? No mention of Windows 7 or 8.....yes I saw the "minimum" but I would think they would be specifically mentioned.
Goober Trooper
I can't recall correctly, but Vista might have been the primary operating system at the time. Windows 7 might not have been released yet. Can't remember for sure, though.

Wyld1
Thanks Blacky. My system more than covers those specs, but yet it says not enough memory. Oh well.
RypeL
Make sure you have enough HDD space left on your main drive aswell. Also other progs like anti vir could eat up your ram memory.
Wyld1
I have a Terabyte with over 75% free and I run Microsoft Essentials which is not a memory hog. My system exceeds all the specs by double what is required.

My system more than covers those specs, but yet it says not enough memory. Oh well. Make sure you have free RAM as well, in case you are running any other background processes like VMs or multiple random programs. Its also possible that you are using a 32 bit OS, in which case you could only utilize 4 Gb of RAM.
Blacky
Their is most likely a memory leak in game. Seems a lot of people are running out of memory.
RypeL
I only know of two people so far. I wouldnt call that a lot. And Wyld1 only has 3GB of ram wich is barely above minimum of UDK specs and our maps use a bit more so you should have atleast 4 GB of ram. Blacky
My computer keeps freezing when playing renegade x. I have 4 gb of memory but using win7 x86 so basically I only have 3gb. The game runs smooth but my computer randomly freezes while playing renegade-x. I have been experiencing hard drive problems so I presume my pagefile is messing up and haven't said anything. Total Physical Memory: 3,198 MB Virtual Memory: Max Size: 6,395 MB Virtual Memory: Available: 2,978 MB
Daedhart
Try updating your graphics driver. It sounds like an issue with your graphics card. Its also very possibly due to overheating; try cleaning out your card. Freezing without errors is usually a graphics card problem.

CrazyAndy
Anyone played beta with Nvidia 520m or HD3000 or similar? Just wondering if I have to buy a new computer/laptop for this I had some FPS problems with Black Dawn but UT3/RenX 0.55 played OK.
rampage
I'm playing it with a HD 5100 but it doesn't play that well. Have to turn everything to low and play at a low resolution. I imagine an HD3000 would not fare well at all.

The multiplayer release is comparable with the Black Dawn release and other UDK games out there.
Blacky
I'm still using a Nvdia Geforce 9800 GTX 512mb and it works great. I have always had bad experiences with the new radeon cards. I'm playing it with a HD 5100 but it doesn't play that well. Have to turn everything to low and play at a low resolution. I imagine an HD3000 would not fare well at all. Those are lower end cards. This might be useful a video card comparison chart for udk. http://www.game-debate.com/games/index. ... ment%20Kit http://www.game-debate.com/games/index. ... ment%20Kit
halflingforever
What about Windows 8?
Daedhart
Windows 8 is Windows 7, so all the specs are identical for both.
