D34d$h0t Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Hi there folks So i'm newblood here so i need some help, since i'm not smart enough to figure it out. So I post and I want to change it but i can't, so I saw something on the bottom corner that i don't have permission to change my own post! wow! that's weird. but ok any help here for the newb? Quote
Buzzer Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Currently the forum settings are something like this: you can edit your posts, but only if it's the most recent post in the topic and the post was placed not too long ago (something like fifteen minutes I guess?). So basically, it's only useful if you change your mind about something right after you place the message. Quote
Jam Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I think we can all agree that the current forum settings are not cool anyway. Quote
halo2pac Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I am a fan of phpbb over vbulletin or IPB anyday Quote
R315r4z0r Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I agree, I always come up with either new things to say, feel like removing something I said, or just plain want to correct a mistake... and I'm never able to because of that. There really shouldn't be any restrictions on editing your own posts. Quote
halo2pac Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I just checked and this is actually a bug since in the admin panel it says all registered users have permission to edit their posts. When this will be fixed, I have no clue. Quote
