  1. Pfoh, just using notepad? Well, I can't seem to get nFringe to properly do syntax highlighting. But I do recommend Sublime Text 3 with the unrealscript plugin, it does syntax highlighting and can build for you. You're also supposed to be able to debug it with breakpoints but I haven't been able to get that to work :D.

  2. Can probably build a manual patch for the SDK this week sometime. Don't hold your breath though... 'kinda already swamped with things to do.

    WE NEED THIS

My foliagecollisionvolume is also fucked in 5.003.. go to work you bad boy!

You could also just clone the github repo and work with that :D

  3. Hi there,

I was wondering what type of IDE is being used by the community and/or the developers of Renegade X.

I myself have been using Sublime Text with an Unreal Script plugin. However, I know that there is a plugin for Visual Studio 2010, nFringe I believe, but that's too outdated imo.

Does anyone have good tips on what IDE to use? I can live without intellisense but I'd rather have it of course.

    Cheers

  4. Might I make a suggestion? Upload the project to github. I'm not sure what the team's stance on open source is, but as it's very much a community driven project, it makes a lot of sense to put it on Github and let many people potentially contribute to it. The team will still keep control of what does and doesn't go in via simply accepting pull requests.

I'd love to help contribute, but I don't think it's worth going through the recruitment process as my time is quite limited. It also means things like those spelling mistakes could be a great start for someone looking to help but without much experience.

    Just a suggestion.

That's actually something I was thinking about recently, but we haven't discussed it as a team as of yet, although I don't see why we couldn't.

I second this as well! Would love to help doing things but since I'm currently making a game my time is quite limited. Keep us updated!

  5. Just a stab in the dark here. When you tested it through the SDK, did you run it on just a local standalone client? Or a local server and client?

If the first one seems to be the case it might be that you have to make the change on the server and that it sends it to the client.

(I might be totally wrong though)

  6. with the latest version people are saying the ticktank does no damage? anyone else confirm?

Maybe the config file wasn't setup correctly? Tested it out and seemed to work for me. Though it has no default values so if it fails to load the config file correctly it'll do no damage.

Maybe I should add default values :D

  7. iTweek":2ha6t329]yay will still change.

have also the ini put new items in my forum. The buggy is strong against vehicles and weak compared with building. But one must still ask about. 2 buggies make a mammoth flat ^^

But the mod makes real fun: D
