  1. That range problem could be fixed if the projectiles "fall" when moving. Only the arty has that atm right? What if the others get that aswell, they missile wont explode in mid air but fall somewhere on the field? (For example a medium tank can't shoot it that far away, it lacks the "punch" to do so. So it cant be used to bomb the middle of the map :P)

  2. I do miss the fact that i cant "spot" a beacon, trust me i try :P I hit 'Q' in the hope someone will hear my silent voice!

    Actually the sound is a big giveaway, making a small dot appear once a beacon gets spotted is no big "game killer" imo. People run off towards the sound anyway and like SFjake said its a public game and people arent joining TS and alike. So communicating is hard except for the magical 'Q' button.. This would add teamwork instead of ruining the game!

  3. I have been thinking about this for a while. When I first started playing Renegade X it was very difficult for me to overcome the twitch shooting where players move so quickly it is very difficult to hit them. This has been a turnoff for most of my friends and the reason why they stopped playing.

    So to make it more accommodating to people who are used to playing games like CoD, BF4, and Planetside 2 you might want to consider reducing the strafe speed. The strafe speed feels unnatural. I believe this change alone will make it so much more welcoming to new players who are not used to the twitch shooting mechanic.

    What do you guys think?

    I think you just said that the game is too hard and in games like CoD/bf4 etc its easier. So the problem here might not be the game.. Practice makes perfect and i enjoy this game more then CoD or BF (and i am a BF fan)

    Maybe the learning curve is difficult and that scares you, this game doesn't hold your hand like the others. Instead it pulls you by the arm and pushes you right in the middle of everything.

  4. I was thinking about one topic where all the crashfiles/logs can be put into? So the Devs only need to search one topic?

    People would have to describe the crash and then post the log as an attachment. Or is this a bad idea? :P

    Also with this topic, might have overlooked a topic which already does this. So if that is the case then point me the error :P

    These logs were from yesterday, had a couple of crashes that send me back to the desktop. Midgame and at the end of the round. I was too occupied at finding bugs and stuff ingame that i forgot about posting the logs :P So sorry about that lol.. Will post more logs when/if it crashes!

  5. Havent thought about that :P Normal people wont exploit this and play normally, the people who do should get kicked. Now server admins know this could happen :P

    And i did not post the location of this, already got away from the location when i took the screenshots :P

    Or can you buy a nuke as a spy? Infiltrating even their PT's? :P

    I've been a spy several times even on maps with defenses still up! (Being Nod on Goldrush, with rocket officer as spy-character)

    When I got the spy character, I ran back to base, buy me a beacon, run back all the way around the map in the least conspicuous way possible, passed the ACTIVE! AGT (as my target was the powerplant) and got away with it the 2nd beacon i planted ...

    The only time when the AGT shot me down was when I was shooting at some GDI units, it was then and only THEN when the base defenses were activated to target me.

    Perhaps you were shooting between obtaining the spy crate and buying beacon/rushing base?

    Yeah i got discovered once and had to eliminate the target before raising more suspicion, perhaps thats the problem then? You can't fire your gun when being a spy otherwise you get shot at by the defenses but planting a beacon is ok :P

  7. Airstrikes were too powerfull imo in beta I, you could destroy a bunch of vehicles for a small ammount of $. I do agree that i havent really heard many airstrikes these days and i dont know what they have done to the damage ratio :P

    This one was from further away, could see him show up but he was inside the hill. I think he couldn't get hit there..

    Edit: Tried it out and found the place where you can drive up the wall! Stank,, apc, medium tank and mlrs are all capable of getting up on the hill, even driving all the way to Nod! (havent tried it with artillery and such though)

    Mrls(at Nod's base, drove all the way around the map lol) Can actually get out of the vehicle and jump down into Nod's base.

    It should get fixed asap, if needed i can show the glitch ingame since i havent posted a screen of the place where you can get up. :P (So people have to search the map by themselves if they want to know this)

  10. I found one little issue myself, walked around the 'mountain' and suddenly went up, so i had a clear advantage there

    Could walk (picture to the west) pretty far and ended up behind the fence :P

    Other just happened now, the barracks was mined like crazy but somehow a sbh still managed to sneak inside. (dont ask me how)

    However this also happened:

    You cant see it really good but there are 2 missiles comming from behind the rocks, a Stank got there. (on the right side of the pic are the barracks)

    I dont know if i missed something but the sbh getting inside of a heavily mined barracks is odd and i have no idea where that stank went :P

  11. I had a spycrate which turned me into a sbh, also got one that transformed me into Mobius. I think that adds to being the 'spy', it can be anyone! (or i just had some luck :P)

  12. I tried it out aswel, the kill circle is smaller then it used to be imo but the problem is that the vehicles stop moving once you try to enter them. (if it isnt your vehicle it just stops at the wrong place)

    Issue would be solved when that doesnt happen; if the vehicle just drive toward its destination until someone enters it and drive off instead of just stopping when someone tries to enter it.

    So if you get in it and you park your tank in that kill spot its your own stupid fault :P

  13. I think we should visit this topic again once most of the beacon placing bugs are solved? Because i think that's the biggest issue atm. Sure SBH can exploit the bugs more then other classes but on the other hand: This is how bugs are found! So they can be solved :P

  14. Noticed this on Field today, somehow the harvester from Nod just stood in the middle of the "road".. Perhaps this also has to do with the vehicle lag? Since that was bad there lol

    It looked like the harv wanted to move but couldnt, because it "jumped" abit while staying on the same spot.. Really weird.. Once it got destroyed it functioned as supposed to

  15. Yesterday i used it to scare some people away, some MLRS's were harassing the HoN. (4 of them :P) So i got a Stank and drove towards them to shoot at them. Actually worked as distraction because they started shooting at me instead of the HoN :P (and i just backed away slowly behind a wall, got stealth back and did it again from another position)

    In that case the Stank is pretty good as it is, if you want it to be an assault vehicle then yes.. It would need more speed and armor.. But because it isn't a frontline vehicle it should be faster then it already is imo

  16. Tanks and artillery are the main force of the front. It's more the hype that everyone has to use stanks while a light tank would be more usefull.

    In my opinion stanks are real "hit and run" units, like seeing an enemy vehicle (damaged) retreating and then the stank finish it off. or it crawls behind the enemy front line and runs over the techy's :P I do not see it as a main battle tank..

    Ps: I do agree that it can use abit more power, it shouldn't have alot of armor but i think it should give out a big hit once it decloakes.
