  1. lol I miss it too. TBH I miss all the single player campaign Nod soldier voices in old Renegade. As Havoc, you could sneak up on them and listen in on their conversations, or they might go "What was that? Somethings wrong... watch for the commando! ASSISTANCE NEEDED."

  2. In old Renegade multiplayer its another chick EVA voice. In Renegade singleplayer theres all kinds of voices going on in the last level cairo temple, none of them CABAL, or Sarajavo temple or whatever the fuck location the temple was in in Renegade last mission. The whole campaign had voices over the intercoms and shit.

  3. How come only the left ctrl and alt buttons work? You can't fire off snappy voiced commands using the Alt and Ctrl keys on the right side of the keyboard.

    So instead you have strain your left hand to be able to hold down alt with your thumb and hit the top number key 0 with your index, instead of just using your right hand which would be alot easier.

    I know its low on priority, but wouldn't it be easy to add this functionality for rightside Ctrl & Alt keys for this game? Or can you add it right now by just going into the game files and editing some ini files?

  4. It would be very nice to be able to view the whole map and the unit activity going on in the match. Not a still frame of the map, but big ass radar view with lots of data, unit positions (only your teams and enemys spotted) like in old Tribes or Battlefield. Have a map screen button, like PermaGrin said. Like a full revealed map in old Renegade single player.

    And I'm glad the oldies aren't bitching at Renegade X's new HUD radar, where you have scrolling terrain details, instead of the old renegade where it's just a black screen that shows dots.

    Actually Old Renegade had mods that made your HUD's radar be just like it is in Renegade X. But the fucking oldies were against the idea of allowing players to run those HUD mods on most servers. What stupid setback.

  5. There are a couple of spots (particularly, the Weapons Factory and Power Plant) where a beacon can be placed that is very difficult to disarm. These are places that it is difficult to get to physically

    Why don't you tell us these spots, go into detail to their exact location, and then we can compare notes?

    Also, I remember this being EXACTLY like it was in old Renegade. Beacons being a tipping point for the outcome of a battle.

    Aaaaaaaanyways:

    The GDI EVA voice sounds cute, possible hot, or jsut a fat chick on the phone that sounds hot but is actually fat. The way she overly pronounces the DEE in GDI, stretches out the title, really phonetically says the letters, I find it hilarious - she over pronounces all the words she says, and says them really slow:

    "Warning: Ge-DEE, eye, harvesster un-der attack." Thats exactly how she spews it. She says it all slow and shit.

    The Nod voice is just a male EVA voice. That guy ain't cabal, you'd KNOW if it was cabal, he'd be wrecking your shit saying things like: "They will DIE!", when you ask him what the favorable outcome is.

    To CABAL - the coolest, most badass sounding evil computer voice I've ever heard so far *Raises glass and chugs*

  7. Yah City would be sick. Imagine building interiors? So you can actually go inside the big ass fucking city buildings, instead of walking through those dumb tunnels. What the hell, these tunnels must have been drilled into, they must have been bored into the city buildings. Then they got reinforced with concrete, making gray, absolutely desolate concrete square tunnels? Dafuq? I want some Urban firefights, people hiding under desks, taking a piss in the bathrooms, shooting out lights, choking people out in the conference rooms, (Note to devs: ADD BOWIE KNIVES TO THIS GAME) crawling through vents BOO-YAH

    Original renegade city was a let down in that respect - the civilian city structures were so lame. What the FUCK!? Tunnels? Wheres all the... what? FUCK. That aint a proper interior building layout.

    OP you got baaaaaad luck. Your team failed a few times in a row, thats is why you have posted this thread. I feel jah man, it sucks ass when it happens.

  9. I know right? As soon as you hear that EVA (so dont turn off EVA volume), RUN AWAY. From the conflict.

    Its either the conflict (everyones tanks) or your base... so, book it! Flee the scene, run away from those tanks, or dig into a building, preferably a building not next to a tunnel, cause some asshole is in that tunnel bombing the base.

    - Maybe kills shouldn't be awarded to the players that set off the strikes?

    SO I guess the flamethrower wasn't deemed underpowered then?

    Too bad, I really think it could use a bit of a buff.

    Maybe have a tank on the character model's back which the flamethrower is attached to so you don't have to reload, but you still run out of ammo? Same thing for Chem warrior.

  11. Yeah... your gonna need a complete explanation for every single point you just posted there, why you THINK those changes should be made.

    Could you at least fully explain why you THINK the Flamethrower is fine as is?

    I think its not, but I explained why, and it makes sense a small buff may be in order for it.

    I'd like a dev to respond to my OP.
