no you cant upgrade your gpu .. your cpu is ok, no need to upgrade, .. you need to know if you want ot upgrade something in your laptop , u better have $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ .. a mid range cpu is around 300$ .. and you have to find it before ....
not use shader .. i cant say something on taht .... google your problem and try to find someone who got your problem

X2 ... you got a GM965 ... or in other word, a Intel X3100 integrated graphic chipset .. it '' supposed'' to support DX10 .... but it dont support SM4.0 lol only 3.0 ... so in my book it only support DX9 .. maybe 9c .. eve nwith everythign at low and at the lowest resokution .. if you got 10 fps it will be famous ... and during firefight .. well maybe .2 fps ...
at this resolution, you cpu will back you .. on chance you got a C2D cpu cause a single core cpu will get you a lower fps ... -

laptop cpu can be upgrade. it just depend of your laptop ... on mine i can, but alot of HP and compaq have a soldered cpu, so no. google your laptop
i know that on my laptop, i can use around 12 cpu. gfx card change is harder ... most of time , gfx bios is insert in mobo bios ..
ho and .. i need more info on your system .. laptop cpu .. there like 6 X C2D 1.83Ghz .... use CPUZ @ http://www.cpuid.com and post ss of cpu, mainboard and graphic pls -

full mini map ... nothing new there. if its cheating ... bah .. for me , i found alot of skin and mod in renegade is cheating .. i still play with everything otiginal .. never understand really why ppl always want to change things ingame lol since 2002 i play with everything stock and i still love this game lol

you can technicaly change a gfx card in laptop .. but most of time, the graphic card bios is merge with the mother board bios .. if your a damn good programmer, you can find how to code a new bios in motherboard bios .. of mak like me .. search all over the web for someone who already did it .. i want to replace my 9800M GS for a GTX260M .. but i need the 260 coding line from another bios to get it running .. well, before trying that ..... try to contact Dell tech support, they can have a cheaper way to fix the prob .. a mobile graphic card on market cost an arm and a leg ... for low-end card ... and after that you have to install it .. if your ok with that go .. but if not , its cost another leg ...

GPU is dying or Ram is overheating .. well dont try to fix it and buy another a X1300 is old, even for 30-40$ you can have a better card than a X1300

well the 9500GT and the GTS 250/9800gtx+ (same damn card) isnt in the same league .... 9500GT is peewee and the gts 250 is national league ... so i can say that you didnt read my other post. the GTS will run the game at full without problem. the 9500GT at medium setting. everycard on market since what? 8000 series fro nvidia can run 16x AA .. but not all can run it nicely with good fps.
if you ordered the 9500GT .. cancel your order and order the gts250.like i said before, the 9500gt dont have the horsepower to run 512mb full .. imagine 1GB .. even the 9600GT with 1GB is kinda waste of money. but the 9600GT need 512mb !!!!! the 9500/9400/9300 series is office card, 9600gso/GT/9800GS/GT is med gaming card. 9800gtx/gts250, gtx260 and up is highend gaming card -

well both compagny have strong and weak side. for me , i always got Nvidia card , cause each time i bough one, it gave me what i expected, so i continue with them. these day, each game are optimized for a gfx card company ... UT3 and unreal engine was made in collaboration with Nvidia, and his physX engine, and Intel. soem other game are made on AMD platform and technology (Valve game). but its not the place to debate on this. its more for the off topic section -

Right now i got a small GFX card and i can only play at 20FPS on 800x600 high BUT on my B-Day im getting a Nvidia 9500 1GB with 16x AA so i will be all ready Perfect Timing [/b]
well, i have to say, aim a lil higer than a 9500 ... a 9600gso will outperform the 9500GT 512mb .. dont waste money on a 1GB version ... it cant manage to use the full 512mb .. imagine the 1GB. but .. if you want decent graphic at higher resolution, get at least a 9600GT ot a 8800GT 512mb (dont touch the 256mb version) or a 9800Gt .. same as 8800GT, only a new name ... the 9600gso is the same price as 9500GT .. and if you put 15-20 more $$, ,you can have a powerfull card, really better than the 9500GT ...
@ 800*600 its more you cpu who work, not the gfx card. myself i play on a 9800M GS (laptop) , it can run UT3 at full @ around 40fps at 1366*768 (max resolution of my laptop), Ren-x is a lil more demanding. and when you comapre the 9800M GS with a desktop gpu, its the same as the 9600GT 512mb
ps : 16x AA .. well even with my GTX260 maxcore OCX and my Q6600 OC 3.2Ghz, game are unplayable, i dont want to burst your bubble .. but lol -
and i can say here, right now, that if someone get caught cheating on official server, they will be banned on alot of server, i'll use my influence and contact on that ... i really hate ppl who cheat to be better than other, if you have no skill , dont play. and i'll regulary ask for the ban list of Renegade-X regular server
the only way i see to counter cheat is .. dev team block everything in Ren-X .. no custom script, no console add, no skin ...
