  1. Unreal Command&Conquer Although I must admit "Renegade Saga" sounded good too (I don't know why).

  3. I'm not positive of this, but if that is full unreal 3 editor in dedicated server those who don't have the money and want the editor might be able to just download the dedicated server.
  4. I can confirm sources have stated UT3 ed is with the game. If you guys plan to host. Lemme warn you now. UT 3 is more of a pig than ut2004 server wise. You will want a 5140 Xeon or third gen Opteron to do 2 UT3 Renegades, irc and Ts.
  5. It appears the Unreal 3 editor is installed directly in dedicated server (which I am installing now) and most likely will be in the PC version. No waiting for it. Let the next phase of moding begin!
  6. From what i'm hearing, unreal 3 SDK wont be out till around 3 months after title release. But, rumors are rumors.

We don't have dates for the PS3 version yet but we're putting the finishing touches on it now and it is going to be great.
  8. There is a great deal of discussion going on in the Unreal mod forum. Has any thought been given to keeping a thread about Renegade mod going in this moding area? There are some very talented artists, coders, etc. that that follow that area closely and if they see that their is interest they may be enticed.     I'm sure your all aware, but in case you are not, Unreal 3 demo appears to be slated for release Friday. Our UT guys are foaming at the mouth and have had to be locked in their cages - so we will have a demo server up ASAP for anyone interested. I guess you'll get a nice preview of what you've been waiting for. Saga

  13. What i'm concerned about is the fact hitbox's are bigger. Seems like it would be harder to spec a player for cheats due to this variable.
  14. Personally, I have my doubts about Unreal 3 on xbox vs pc. Nice idea, but we will see.
  15. I'm curious. Tsu, would it be possible to add some of these goodies to the C&C assault maps without a lot of trouble if they wanted this done? Seems like it could be a great primer for the UT community pre Unreal 3.

    lol, it is a part of the C&C storyline. There is one shrine in a C&C map that is interesting - but useless. Kane would be pleased. btw Tsu, your red alert map looks like it will be the one picked for our server funwars against Omnipotents.

    How about The Shrine of Nod? Seems like a interesting building that if completed might be useful in some maps - as long as it did something. I mean, this guy can do some great stuff. Would there be a possible use if something the team didn't have a direct need of, but could benefit from without directing resources/manpower to making was made "freelance"?

    Tsumetai, posted about the Renegade mod in the moddb. He would be a great asset to the team if there was some mutual interest. He was the creator of 3 of (imo) very good C@C assault maps. He is the fellow who made refinaries, Obs, etc.. etc "build" when a map objective occurred. I have asked him to take a look at your project. I don't know him, but he created 3 of the most popular maps in UT2004 Assault we run. Just a thought.

    (I hope I'm not overstepping boundries with these suggestions). I was thinking along the lines of something tangible that players could sink their teeth in to currently (and that wouldn't be a lot of uneeded extra work). Something that would plant the seed of anticipation into those who have played C&C and Renegade in the past into their minds before Unreal 3 takes all their attention.

    If your asking me I'd say make it simple. Whatever you have ready or could be ready. I'd recommend an apc, buggy, tank and one air unit if possible. And if possible a weapons pack. Vehicles and weapons can easily replace the ones already there. If you want to go crazy, create one C&C assault map, place some ads for your mod in it and we can sandwich it between our current C&C maps for maximum exposure. Could be a powerful motivator to keep the project moving along. Never underestimate the power of immediate gratification on human behavior coupled with a thirst for more.

    In order to promote the mod which requires more time for completion, I was curious if there might be some interest in creating 3-4 vehicles for a mutator pack for UT2004 and perhaps a few weapons well in advance of this mods release. We average around 150 repeating players on our C&C assault server daily, with perhaps 5-10 first time players per day. Since there is growing interest in C&C in UT already, perhaps a C&C ONS with a few C&C vehicles or weapons would be a progression towards exposing your mod and creating name recognition about it. The advantage of creating just mutators would be you would not have to construct maps and increase your work but that the vehicles and weapons could be added to existing maps. I dunno if this is possible, or if it is even something you are even interested in. My thought process is, create a buzz and perhaps get some early gratification.
