  1. No answer? I have heard every track in previous OSTs, but there are some new tracks in this MP release.
  2. What was the song name played in the main menu? It sounds like Unreal Tournament all over again. Is that track available in the Renegade-X OST?
  3. There's one other thing to add with general AI. If you try to command them to "attack a structure", "cover me", "defend a structure", and so on, the bots still do nothing.
  4. I have the same problem too. Does this issue only affect skirmish? What about multiplayer?
  5. A missing part I found interesting is when you load Renegade-X, the splash image screen starts, but did not mention Totem Arts as the creator but Epic Games and RAD Tools instead. The "Copyright 2006-2014 Totem Arts" is missing in the splash screen. Please mention that in the next version.
  6. Has anyone noticed misspelled words in Renegade-X MP version? What I found out: 1) When you pause in-game, the option "suicide" is misspelled without the "i". 2) When you load the purchase menu, "infantry" is misspelled in every unit section. Also "armour" should be spelled as "armor" because this isn't the UK version of Renegade-X, but an international version of it. Hopefully, these words should be changed in the next version.
  7. I am not sure if this was mentioned before, but after experiencing the new Ren-X MP version I was impressed with the new options. The installation method is getting better but I cannot believe that every UDK game must have a mandatory MS Framework 4.0 and VC Runtime installed. Guess what happened when I installed the MP version of Ren-X in Win7, the setup of MS Framework 4.0 was not responding despite the fact I already installed it a few months earlier. I terminated the setup.exe for MS Framework and surprisingly the installation of the game is finished. On future versions of Ren-X MP (and even Black Dawn), make MS Framework 4.0 and VC Runtime as options for custom installation, not mandatory. Also please include safe mode and graphic option shortcuts before loading the game (just like how Max Payne 1/2 and Deus Ex Human Revolution did) so people will not have to find INI files just to modify the game graphic settings. Usually the first time you load a new game could wind up with an error or two. But then the other question remains, will Ren-X Black Dawn be patched soon? The installation and the graphic options in Ren-X MP should be implemented to the SP version as well. Since the MP version isn't that very large, I think you devs can try to integrate the SP version with the MP version, just like all recent Call of Duty games, with separate shortcuts.
  8. I have the same problem too. Is this issue only happened in Windows 7 32-bit? I bet there's no issue running this in Win7 64-bit. In Windows XP, I could run it but the video loading is too slow, but it did manage to load the menu despite configuring to run in a window in 800 x 600 mode.
  9. Two new questions: 1) Will you bring in more graphical options in-game rather than having the players changing the graphical settings manually through the INI files? I don't see very much in the SP version of Renegade-X. 2) Will you include an option in-game for enabling/disabling 3D sound hardware for gamers who have Sound Blaster cards so they can crank the sound up for a better game experience? I remember all Unreal Tournament games support that.
  10. How large is the file when released? If the game over 4 GB for the MP/skirmish portion, will it be split into 2 GB parts in RAR format instead of ZIP format?
  11. Excellent news, [NE]Fobby[GEN]. Say, how big is the game when it's released? And PLEASE, please split the huge download in 2GB parts as RAR files. I don't want to use a download manager again for this one.
  12. For the skirmish AI, were there any plans to include Guerilla and Steamroller teams? Those terms of Turtler, Balancer and Rusher remind me of C&C3/KW skirmish mode.
  13. Is there an estimated release date for the MP version yet, seeing that this MP portion is seemingly nearing the end?
  14. Please make sure that the installation of Renegade-X does not come with MS DotNet Framework 4.0/5.0 web installer and other tool web installers. It pisses me off because it's not a cumulative setup (and so are the other Microsoft tool requirements). Come on, the latest version of the Framework is about 40 MB of the setup and it's not included in the game setup. I don't need the waste of time to re-download to install what's already in the hard drive. It's something the installation should have done, checking for previous versions of that tool(s). It appears all recent versions of the UDK (and even the games using UDK) has this issue of the same thing. This is unacceptable! If I am using a Win7 64-bit and I cannot use the Internet, how the hell can I install Renegade-X and/or the latest version of the UDK since it persuades me to re-install Framework 4 and other tools (and download the necessary files from the Internet), when they are already installed. I will be issuing this complaint to Epic Games if this does not change.
  15. That's some good news. But why the hiring for a new team to do the MP portion? I was hoping for the latest Renegade-X Q&A episode soon.
  16. It's sad that EALA once started it and cancelled this great mature game despite very good content being used. But since you devs successfully re-created Renegade-X, any great chance if you can re-create the Tiberium FPS, (either from resources from EA or start from scratch)? After all, Tiberium uses the Unreal Engine 3. To do this, you need more mappers and coders and still make it a non-free game. I don't think there's any other C&C dev team that wanted to do this.

  18. I hope Jam isn't MIA. There are so many questions left to go before the Community Q&A season ends.
  19. Not sure if this was answered before but will we be able to create custom maps or modifications for Renegade-X after the MP version is done?
  20. This forum is having issues on replying someone's post and even when editing a post. I mean the text box won't show up to edit unless it's a full advanced editor. When editing a post, the buttons aren't working. Please fix. I am currently using the latest version of Firefox 10 and nothing is blocked.
  21. Will you devs host a Renegade-X tournament when the MP version is done?
  22. Several questions to ask: 1) Not sure if this question was answered before in previous episodes, but is it possible for a player to set in prone position? 2) Are the gameplay and interface in RenX adapted from a hybrid crossover of Battlefield and Call of Duty? The HUD looks similar to the one in Battlefield 3 and the gameplay along with its speaking subtitles are similar to any Call of Duty game. 3) Will the size of the MP version of RenX be bigger than the SP version? If an expansion would have been possible, space should have been saved rather than re-downloading the entire content all over again. 4) Will an engineer be able to capture structures in the RenX MP version? 5) Will there be modifiers in the RenX MP version? (i.e. weapon upgrades, enhancements) 6) Is the age rating on RenX for mature players only? Although UT3 is for mature players only and the original C&C Renegade is for teens, this RenX game is too explosive and violent for some younger players. I don't see a age rating restriction with this indie game.
  23. Isn't Territory mode the same as Domination, Onslaught and/or Warfare mode(s)?
  24. So Renegade-X Black Dawn is released but the crowded servers prevent a lot of players from downloading such a good first release game under the UDK despite a huge 3.9 GB file. Besides the 9 mirrors and Torrent, the players would be more appreciated if one of you guys or one of the devs from the dev team upload the 8 split files of 500 MB (from the overall 3.9 GB file) into GameFront, which is great enough for the slow connection users. I have a 768 kbps DSL connection and I cannot afford to download for a whole day. I also cannot use Torrent.

    Bandwith?

I was hoping for GameFront links, with 8 split parts of 500MB from the overall file size of about 3.9 GB.
