The only thing in all this criticism that makes any sense is the use of squads to encourage team work. Or even a more subtle approach to lead people to work together. As of these opening days I've yet to get in a game where teamwork was consistent and effective. Also haven't played a game where a team won by something other than points @ time limit.

It shakes violently. On a side note is there anyway to add a tag that shows vehicle occupancy? And/ or a constant name tag display for the driver. Players are hotkeying "I need repairs" in the middle of the battlefield but half the time no name tag is displayed on the vehicle so I don't know who to repair. Just small suggestions really, but the apache issue seems pretty widespread.

Afraid of change or just..aware of what we like in a game? I don't understand your hostility at all. Don't like the game? Leave the forum and quit playing. People need to understand, beta phase is for bug fixes and patches. It's not for the community to have an opportunity to redevelop the game.

I'm not sure if Renegade-X is including modes other than AoW but if they are, new players also need to understand that. CTF was by far my favorite mode during the original Renegade and it's worlds apart from AoW. Also, a lot of the initial gameplay right now is just pure chaos as players learn how the game works and subsequently how to work as a team. Once things settle down games will play out a lot differently. That's just something that all people new to the game should bare in mind.

Haven't played yet (downloading now) but I would like to remind everyone the original Renegade was, in and of itself, a glitch and that's what gave it so much character and caused it to be one of my favorite games to this day. Seems like mostly constructive criticism here so obviously that's a good thing for a beta, I just hate to see anyone not enjoying the game by being overly critical.

alright thanks guys these are the answers I was looking. All my gaming now a days is done via 360 so I'm clueless when it comes to PC stuff. Is that card agp or pci? supportive of dual monitor display? I know I can just look it up but im really not into browsing graphics card. I would hardly have any clue what i'm reading anyways

What's the issue here? I downloaded when it first came out and couldn't access the website for a while so I'm asking now. I load up the gam, everything runs fine in cinematic. Loads first mission and then bam! Game turns into a laggy unplayable piece o' crap. I don't know what on my PC needs to be updated though? -Intel Quad Core 2 CPU q9400 @ 2.67 GHz -4gb RAM w/ 3.50 usable RAM -354 GB free on HDD -GeForce 8400 GS Someone help me out here. New graphics cards suggestion etc. Thanks

can't wait! And Fobby no one is intending to complain, this is just like any anticipated game release. It's so close we can almost taste it and waiting is almost unbearable. Take that as a compliment! You and your team have my full appreciation.

looks like whatever timezone you guys are in is about 6 hours ahead of me. Maybe there is hope for me getting something like a midnight to 2o'clock release if it's posted early enough in the morning!

The "boink" I have second. I don't know why it's just so rewarding when you get a boink. Way better then a killstreak in CoD or a "Killing frenzy" voice in Halo

McFarland is a solid addition. Looking forward to his dialogue. Drunk+scottish seems like a lot of funny potential

Just to get back in the spirit of CnC Renegade, What are your best memories from the game? For me I'd have to say the day I realized you could shoot through the glass wall on Island. Yes I know, nooby, but I've never heard so many consecutive "boinks" before.

when this game had to be bundled with the other Westwood RTS games to even sell. And it generated enough of a fan base to be remade completely independent of Westwood. The second I heard about the voting I enlisted everyone of my friends that ever played Renegade to vote, and they're all equally excited. Just one question. Please tell me you guys brought back "boink" headshot?
