  3. BIATCH doesn't catch Rate of Fire/rapid fire hacks and I never heard of it catching Nod players accessing GDI PT (don't think there is such a cheat in Renegade). RGH just has PT everywhere.   5. Building damage is checked server-side in Renegade so RoF and damage hacks don't work on them.
  6. I think the MRLS could use a damage boost, it's very weak at close range.

    Vehicle Exit

    I enjoy the current system of being able to use the camera to force where you get out of the vehicle, compared to the unpredictable exit points in Renegade. Please don't change this.
  8. Do you guys have some information about the differences between WinForms and WPF? I'm not much of a GUI programmer and I've only seriously used WinForms while doing GUI code. To me WinForms seems to be a "wrapper" for the Win32 GUI sub-system while WPF seems like an advanced GUI subsystem built over DirectX with its own markup language (using XAML).

  11. I like this map just fine. Why do you people have to be so negative and hateful? Remember it's a FREE game.
  12. Gaining more credits from hitting green health vehicles helped a lot when fighting against camping teched vehicles. I noticed disarming Proxy Mines only gives you 20 credits, instead of 30.

    Hackers.

    They could just re-install. You can generate hardware based IDs, for example a hard drive volume serial number. That's what RenGuard did but I'm not exactly sure what code they used. Might be this WIN32 API function: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 93(v=vs.85).aspx
  14. HaTe was talking about how mines function in Renegade. In Renegade the mines "check for enemies" every server frame, every 16.66 ms on a 60 SFPS server.

  16. Stealth crate would be cool yeah, like Renegade has. Also thief crate like in Renegade and a Human Silo crate which gives the team an aditional 2 credits per second as long as you're alive.

  18. So this game is made on the Source engine and was made by the people behind Call of Duty? LMAO Imagine Renegade re-imagined by the developers of Call of Duty.
  19. Walls are about 3 three times as thick as in Renegade and the Proximity mine radius is a lot smaller. You can place mines in the middle of a door just fine without them all blowing up at once or people exploiting the wall to take less damage.

  21. Can we get RenXGuard, I was playing yesterday with ehh and iTaLy and I was already being accused of cheating.

  23. 3 mines kill basic infantry so 4 should be enough now, except for $1000 characters. The trigger radius is about 50% lower than in Renegade but the damage is about 1.5 times higher and you can't hug the wall to take almost no damage from Proxy mines, unlike in Renegade. Has anyone tried mining above the doors btw? I was playing around with writing a plugin for the Dragonade server side mod system for Renegade and I wrote a simple mod which lowers the vertical (Z-height) trigger range of Proximity mines, and this fixed mining above doors because the mines no longer trigger. I wonder if in Renegade X the mines still trigger if you mine above the door.

    Yeah, there's no need to be so extremely negative and forceful. Remember that the developers work on the game in their spare time and have made a complete commercial grade game with a small team and limited resources.
  25. Renegade also had spread on weapons like the Auto Rifle and recoil on at least vehicles (as part of the vehicle physics). The Arty's projectile was very inaccurate over long range too.
