  1. I'd recommend not wasting your time talking about your unrealistic fantasies you'd like to be added to this game. I did that for years on the official C&C forums. So no youre not getting super awesome tiberian sun tech in renegade and jesus christ isnt going to knock at your door tomorrow morning. and no tiberium wars was not a good game it was a incredibly mediocre game and EA Games continued to lower their standards after that until the franchise was entirely destroyed and no one could deny that (there are people still in denial asking why the new Generals was cancelled) BECAUSE IT SUCKED THATS WHY.

    You wanna know why Tiberium wars sucks? because its not canon either!. they went back to their "roots" removing all tiberian sun technology and referencing tiberian dawn and starcraft more than anything else. when louis castle was asked when the tiberium saga was going to end he said when they stop buying it. well they stopped buying it! so it ended at tiberian twilight. ran it staight into the ground. the derailing started at tiberium wars. it had horrible path finding, terrible laggy interface, no good strategies besides unit spam and pathetic harassment strats, completely resigned the universe. they had god damn apple laptops on the desk with gdi stickers on it. they cut every corner and completely raped the franchise in tiberium wars. hell emperor battle for dune looks like a better sequel to tiberian sun than tiberium wars. as far as im concerned they wanted to dodge tiberian sun and reboot the franchise to their crappy vision. im glad tiberium wars is a dead game. nobody plays it let it rot in hell.

  2. It can be hard to tell sometimes, i have afew times with the standard soldier shot at people and ended up getting a boink after they ran around a corner.

    There might be some form of not visible lag issue in play aswell :S

  3. You have 10 WHOLE seconds more time to disarm the beacons.

    I honestly don't see the issue. People just need to learn to play a bit, it should be fine after a week.

    People placing then sneaky i think is ok, even jumps out of choppers is ok i think, you need to fly the chopper in there and if the opposite team let a person do that well then they should be nuked. That is a part of renegade.

    However i find it problematic with the beacon placement that are inside other grapics, wich either makes the kinda hidden, or invisible, and harder than normal to disarm, or even impossible.

    So a good placed beacon should ofc be allowed, but a beacon placed with an exploit that give a enormous advantage should defintly not!

  4. I have played and swear to all the classic rpgs like Planescape torment, Baldur's gate I and II, fallout 1 + 2, and for oldschool shooters, Unreal tournement and Renegade.

    I played a shitload of Wow, was there at the opening of AQ 40 and did all the classic raids back when the game was truly epic. Lost interest when they dumbed the game down to non elitist level.

    The last year or so i mostly played Mass effect 3 Multiplayer, it is a simple but amazing gameplay and so far i sunk 1000+ hours into it, and i still find in entertaining.

    And there is ofc minecraft.. well and many more :)

  5. With the small maps that we already have, 12-24 players are ideal, if Medium maps were added then 24-40 players and if Large maps were added with loads of space 40-64 players. The max vehicles are 10, on servers of 35-64 players increasing the max vehicles to 15-20 would be interesting and ideal, :D

    Can we please keep the "I would like this and that cap" suggestions out of this thread?!

    If your message is not about FIXING VEHICLE LAG ISSUES, please post it elsewere so the actual topic dont drown in spam.

  6. How about we just leave the game as close to the original as possible?

    What i read in between the lines of most posts is "I cant do teamplay so please make it so 1 idiot can steamroll a base protected by 64 players."

    You already have the ridicilous Airstrike already for a skillless idiotic stalemate breaker, what more do you guys want?

    There is always the smaller games if you want fast non challanging games, start a walls in 2vs2 or something.

    Some of us played Renegade for the hard and very teamwork dependant games, get 2-3 freinds and break the siege with ramjets from the safetey of your own base, that can be done on basically every map, unless you lack the skill to hit a damn arty or mlrs with a sniper.

    There is no stalemate in ren x atm. airstrikes blabla. ect. ect.

    It is also about what you like, i prefer long games with full defenses and as many players as possible, make it real hard.

    64vs64 with 120minecap is was my playground in Classic Renegade, took teamplay to a whole other level.

    Besides sometimes the only required to break a stalemate is to suggest to do something about it.

  8. There is no such thing as stalemate in Ren x atm, you must be doing it wrong.

    The absurd easy to use airstrike makes sure of that, and even so the "stalemates" are atm more because there are alot of new folks who havent learnt the small tips and tricks needed to tip a building.

    What you suggest would make the games really short and the true epic teamplay moments, only ever seen in the renegade would never happen,and the sould of the game would be lost.

  9. While i also are against most of the gameplay changes and arent fan of the brand new maps either or any of the new stuff added, i do think they did a pretty good job.

    While in the closeed beta in paralel played the old renegade to be sure it was not my remembering better times that there actually were.

    Alot of the old bugs and glitches has been removed, and the characters that they have remained true to feel amazing- way better than before. Both 500c and the 1000c snipers feels amazing!

    Same goes for sydney and raweshaw. Basically all the land vehicles are awesome and really feels like more polished versions of the old(Miniguns excluded wich i have bugged the devs half to dead about).

    Ofc on the way they have spawned new kind of bugs to "replace" the old bugs, but compared to renegade that never really got patched due to EA taking over, i am sure the devs here will over time get everything sorted out.

    I have faith in that they will get everything sorted out :)
