Yeah i am in vic. grew up in qld sort of wish i was up there still, But lately we have been having quite a few warm days down here, i live only 2k away from where the Churchill-Jeeralang fire was going.

QUOTE (Bret_Hart @ Feb 19 2009, 04:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I didn't even make 5th. But at least I made the top 10. Still woulda been nice to make some $$$[/b]
On the bright side, if you apply for a job as a mapper, you can say, well i got into the top10.
So atleast its not all too bad, but yeah everyone can use a bit of extra cash -
QUOTE (Bret_Hart @ Feb 19 2009, 01:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Blah, I'm dissapointed.[/b]
What did you come?
But on the bright side, you go so far, that's better than a lot of people. -

QUOTE (Mighty BOB! @ Feb 17 2009, 03:14 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I would personally not recommend the Logitech G9. The G5 is where it's at.[/b]
My Friends both have G9's and G5's and they love them, specially the swappable grips on them. they are a very popular mice,
I on the other hand have a monster gecko and i love it, i wouldn't recommend it unless you really wanted that sort of mouse.
here is an image.

QUOTE (Jointn00b @ Feb 16 2009, 11:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>like he said!

QUOTE (Ban4life @ Feb 15 2009, 01:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>its a brother, so we have to discuss who bought it again . We are never sure
thanks anyways.
About the rain, yes its pretty obvious. I'm a one piece focused person, so I have no trouble to see the important things, and ignore the things like rain and stuff.
Most people are field focused though, and see everything together. I dont know how much trouble they will have with the game.
On the other hand, fps is one for piece focused. So I dont expect much trouble for any renegade X players. Its really easy, try downtown with UT III and you will see for yourself. You dont notice the rain. And if you are having trouble, its np. I would own you anyways
and like demigan said. You wouldnt notice the stank by the rain. Before you see the rain splashing of the tank, you can see the tank tracks (like seen in the last trailer!) or the shimmering.
btw, why do they have so much dirt spraying everywhere? Stanks are designed to leave not a trace.
Ban4life[/b]
Umm, from what i remember being told earlier from someone elses post, that's a bug with the island map -
QUOTE (Galen @ Feb 12 2009, 07:05 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Well as long as the team doesn't quit on it, I don't really mind when it comes out.[/b]
I am sure if all the team where to suddenly quit they would probably release it as is, and allow others to continue there work.
But i don't think anyone will be quitting. -
QUOTE (Galen @ Feb 11 2009, 11:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yeah I meant Renegade X. Gee, I hope it comes out this year [/b]
I think all of us would love that, but it will be finished when its finished -
QUOTE (Galen @ Feb 12 2009, 02:01 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Great idea [/b]
Hope it works out for you, its not a bad game in its self anyway -
Do you have any anti spyware? id get spybot or adaware and give them a run and see what shows up. might fix a few small issues,
second thing you can do is go into START -> RUN, type MSCONFIG, and look through the startup tab and disable anything you don't use often that is on start up.
Another thing you can do is run Hijackthis, and remove all other meanies, but as you said you don't know much about computers, so ill say before unselecting anything for deleting it, run a quick google search first to find out what it is, in case its something important.
Also with your memory around 40-50% i wouldn't worry too much about that, that's vista for you. It does a lot of precaching and other stuff.

QUOTE (pupbarn @ Feb 8 2009, 03:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Each canon fires at the same speed as med, it fires faster because there's 2. The canons are at least twice as big ffs, they should do more damage![/b]
Lets as for arguing sake, Bigger barrel means more damage? well no there is many things to counteract that, such as type/size of round. What if the Medium tanks barrel is a smoothbore and the mammoth tanks is rifled? that could easily make up for the size difference in diameter.
Just a thought there, but as already stated nothing is going to be changed for realism sake, besides games theses days force to much realism that makes them sort of drag and boring (just my opinion) -
I keep forgetting you guys are in winter times, and over here its still summer.
Its started to cool down over here now, its sitting in the 30's

QUOTE (Pr0eX @ Feb 7 2009, 07:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Even if we take RL, dont you think you can make more damage with a rocket then with a simple tank-shell? (If you dont belive it.. go to army, I was and also I saw those exposions, belive me... you cant compare rocket with a tank.shell!!!)[/b]
If the tanks using XM1028, troops aren't going to like that at all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cgn1nhUEgo8 Incase anyone wants a look
but against buildings i am going to have to take an RPG7 using some PG & TBG, but that's my personal opinion. (even though its a grenade)
my point is i am going to agree with Pr0ex the differences between a tank shell and a rocket hitting a building is massive. -
QUOTE (NEFobbyGEN @ Feb 7 2009, 07:14 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Us Canadians are jealous <_<[/b]
had a great sunset too.... all the smoke from the surrounding bush fires made everything black while the sun lit up the sky orange. looks weird but awesome.
i got a photo of the fires thats just near me.

Well its now the cool down of one of the hottest days so far this year, (46 Celsius, or 114.8° Fahrenheit)
I spent the day indoors playing DND

QUOTE (Firstmate @ Feb 5 2009, 05:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I play C&C Renegade, and I have seen some of the work on this, and it truly is amazing
I was just wondering, would I need UT3 to play it? Or what else would I need?
Also is there a current system requirements? I mean, what would you say would be it? XP, vista? RAM? HD? Graphics?
Edit: One more question, lol, what sorta programs do you need to model the guns/vehs? and the maps?[/b]
As Fobby said, you will need UT3 to play RenegadeX when its finished.
Also i believe these are the system requirements you are looking for,
Minimum System Requirements
Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista
2.0+ GHZ Single Core Processor
512 Mbytes of System RAM
NVIDIA 6200+ or ATI Radeon 9600+ Video Card
8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space
Recommended System Requirements
2.4+ GHZ Dual Core Processor
1 GBytes of System RAM
NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+ Video Card
8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space -
QUOTE (G0NE2W4R @ Feb 4 2009, 12:50 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Everything kicks-ass. Doing a wonderful job there.
One question though:
For the walls.mix map, why is there a backdoor on the GDI & Nod bases? Are there new pathways or something being added to map?[/b]QUOTE (Bret_Hart @ Jan 25 2009, 09:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I've opened up the cliff walls left and right NOD side to allow aircraft in and out here.
And here, a fake entrance for the GDI side.
Enjoy [/b]
I hope that answers that question for you -
QUOTE (Pr0eX @ Feb 2 2009, 04:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I think its possible. Also the updates (patches) are the same for UT3 I think.[/b]
Thats what i was thinking. Pretty sure its the same, just gets ran through steam instead. -
LOVE THE HUD!!!!!!!! and i loved the light tank, you have once again gotten my full attention and made me see the pure beauty.

QUOTE (AsgarothXc @ Feb 1 2009, 02:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Thanks guys, I ended up figuring it out.
The map looks awesome, even though it's not the finished version that they've already finished. I love the artwork and the incredible work of the making of the tiberium. One part that was fun was using my hover board to skate around like a skate board off of those ramps, and jumping inside the waterfall hole dieing. It was funny but fun when it happend.
Now that I got a small taste of the mod, it's even more exciting to wait for the release. Good work guys; really.[/b]
Hourglass was a lot of fun for playing around on it, -
QUOTE (maty @ Jan 25 2009, 11:20 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I know there are multiple routes, but it doesn't make it any less of a boring game for me.
I tried the speedruns, but still found it a horrible experience.
Thats me anyway .[/b]
But you did not like sonic the hedgehog.... but i did see you said xbox360, i loved sonic 1 &2 and 3, i haven't played anything after that, and from what i have heard i probably wouldn't want to.
Even though you don't like mirrors edge, i can understand what you are saying about it, i find it really enjoyable because its different from most of the other games that are release these days. -
i sort of just popped up, lurked a bit, and now i stay here.

NodGuy i love you
