    If its $30, give it a go.

    Normally the mobo would do something such as beep at you etc, but - these days newish mobo's dont come with onboard speakers so you cant hear a bloody thing lol

    So make sure that your mobo acctually has a speaker on it before getting yourself more confused by it not beeping when it acctually cant.

    It's all about money...

    The creators of COD made a fuck load of cash on downloadable content alone last year... - this is why they are removing the dedi servers.

    I will explain:

    Custom content will be able to be downloaded from the company, such as mods skins etc etc - this takes away the modding side of things from the community.

    They dont want us to be able to create dedicated servers ourselvs because this takes away the posibility of just them being able to create custom content and host it - where as if a dedicated server was avilable, custom server-sided mods could be created (such as Promod for COD4 could be ported to COD6 if required)

    Does not sound like its much of a problem, but game server hosting companies were quite excited to get hold of COD6's dedicated stuff... Sure matchmaking works for left 4 dead and i can see it working for COD6... but not being able to host your own server where you can administrate it to how you want (banning, kicking etc) just isnt good enough for the player base who wish to "be god" on their own servers.

    I've also been playing around with the UT3 weapons... the redeemer seems to take out buildings pretty quickly...

    I've also managed to drive the harvester... MAN its slow lol

    Allllllllso - ive been able to spawn AGT's and Obelisks... cant quite figure out the NOD Turret yet :P lol

    After having looked at some of the RenX files, it would seem that the NOD Arty has the wrong armor type on it - thats why it seems so much stronger against infantry ammo than in renegade itself...

    Hopefully this is fixed soon.

    THIS POST IS ONLY ABOUT HOSTING SERVERS - DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PACKAGE TO TRY TO PLAY RENEGADE-X, IT WILL NOT WORK

    Dear All.

    Alot of posts on here on how to install configure and use a UT3 RenX server...

    In short, im doing all the hard work for you...

    The package includes:

    • UT3 Dedicated Server
    • UT3 Patch 5
    • UT3 Titan pack
    • Renegade X 0.35
    • Renegade X Frontend Server Fix

    How do i use it?

    I have provided you with a "Start Renegade.bat" file, which resides in the Binarys folder, please modify the Bat file to your liking.

    Once your server is online, you can configure it easily via the Web Admin Tool by connecting to:

    http://yourserversip:8012/

    Any username can be used to login, but the AdminPassword section inside the Bat file is the password for this login screen.

    Use the web interface to configure the server how you require it (server name, max players, map lists etc etc).
