  1. mhh i haven't noticed anything wrong with the RL officer, but yes maybe the gunner rate of fire is a little too fast. Just a feeling for me. But i repeat, the RL officer is perfectly fine.

  3. Seriously, since Westwood was bought by EA, they have released only shit games excepting Renegade (multiplayer only), and Emperor battle for Dune. In the EA era, in all the C&C game, the "US likely" side is allways shown as the good ones, and their enemies (communists, NOD) shown like idiots (soviets in RA 2) or mindless fanatics (NOD since TS). Tiberian Sun was medium, with ugly graphics and design. Red Alert 2 a pure joke Renegade was a poor shit in solo mode (oh yeah once again the good GDI angels against thoose really bad mindless fanatics of NOD). Multiplayer was, surprisely, purely awesome. Command and conquer generals : the apogy of EA evident pro-US patriotism. Not a C&C game Red Alert 3 : even further is the ridiculous path chosen for the series since the 2. EA believed that showing boobs of some top models would have been enough to make a great game. Comand and Conquer 3 : not bad, but too much futuristic for me.
  4. ok let me tell you my opinion. When i was playing Old Ren and still in RenX, i've allways been upset by thoose players who totally don't care about defending. So i'm often the only guy who devote himself to do what the others don't want to do : repairing buildings like an idiot, mine entrances, looking for APC rushes etc .. while the others careless partners have all the fun. Last time, for exemple, i've seen a stupid guy repairing his mrls while the factory just behind him was about to be destroyed (and he actually didn't do anything to prevent its destruction !). So, as a veteran base defender, i can say hourglass is a lame map, this hill camping is boring, as you can target several buildings without moving (if you could only target one building it would be ok, several, it's just madness for defenders).

  7. that's strange because as long as i can remember, nobody played the chaingun officer in original Renegade. It was absolutetly a waste of money. On GDI side, everybody waited for gunner for killing vehicles, or ... patch to kill infantry... why ? Because it was much easier to kill infantry with him. Of course the laser chaingun officer for the same cost was much better imao. But Patch was one of my few favourite GDI infantry unit. The one who really sucked was the 150 sydney lol. There's a problem if everybody finds the chaingun officer awesome. Patch for me is much better with no doubt
  8. i like the idea to target spotting. Comm centers would be a nice add on custom maps^^ you would be able to see everything on the map (except stealth units (in stealth mode)). It's a part of C&C gameplay, so i would like that
  9. infantry : every NOD unit (even if my favorites are still not here). vehicles : every NOD tanks ... yeah i'm a brotherhood fanatic ^o^
  10. Well about arties what i could say : in original Ren, if i remember well, the shots of arties weren't very accurate (all the shells didn't go straight forward). It wasn't a problem agaisnt buildings, but a litle more against far vehicles and infantries. About Obelisk : In original Ren you could rush with a solo APC an get to the door of the obelisk. You can't now, but i wonder if it is due to the obelisk itself or to the normal turrets which seems to be more useful than before. As a counterpart, before you wasn't get shot when your vehicle was very close to the AGT. Now it's harder to keep your flamtank until the destruction of the tower since the machineguns continue to shoot you (and they do quite a lot of damage to tanks). So i think there's no imbalance problem on this side. And about HON and factories No it's not an imbalance if they are both the exposed building of each sides. In general i have allways been convinced that GDI had the most powerful vehicles and NOD the most powerful infantry. So Each side has their most important building dangerously exposed in this map. In any way, a team which neglict repairing its base and defend will almost loose all the time. Please dev team release my lovely favourite laser machinegun 450 infantry of NOD ^^ Patch is so lame compared to these awesome men :]
