    yes, and it's (at my opinion) a good and a bad part in same time
    good part cuz you must take a look to your defenses
    bad part cuz if your fav gamestyle is tank and you lose WF... F. if your fav gamestyle is sydney/gunner or sniper and you lose BAR... F. if your fav gamestyle is sneak and you lose HON... F.
    i think i'm not alone to be annoyed when i lose the building who allows me to play what i love - for me it's BAR/HON -
    i can play as tank but urg.. i'm so bad as tank 😅  i can't properly drive without be stucked in all the fkin trees and rocks on a flat and clear area :D

    i agree with you on one part: if you can destroy a building after a huge and epic doza rush with 20 guys, of course revive building vote is annoying. but if you can revive a building in a 15v15 game after a sneaky boy destroy it - i.e. WF or PP in base defense maps - or if you can revive a building after a early rush - like offi rush in REF in Field - i think it's fair
    of course, if enemy team lose a bldng and rebuild it, if you lose a bldng but vote doesn't pass.. it will be really frustrating
    but what in RenX isn't frustrating? :)  the "building" gameplay is make to be frustrating - if you lose BAR, next game you will more take care about BAR because you will spend 30 mins last game to be offi vs dozas and it will annoy u so hardly than you will camp BAR for entire next game :P  (naaah it's not at all my experience image.png.a69b5a490d8fbf96a32ee076cccc2dc9.png )


    matches in RenX can be long. yea, sometimes we play ~ 2 hours on Under. It's the longest games on RenX. as fun fact, i still remember a 7hour long game on Under - it was like 2 or 3 years ago
    but sometimes we have short games, like 20 mins on Islands cuz early gre rush at AIR, then mrls med spam at REF and GG
    usually, games are around 50 mins (i think, i haven't stats) but i don't think it's really long - if you compare to other FPS/TPS ofc it's long, but if team balance is good, map is interesting to play and you have a lot of money and all your buildings, it can be for 2 hours i'm sure most players will still enjoy :) 

  2. hmm.. maybe it can be tested in PUGs? or after PUGs like a fun match? idk what pug guys do, but if FPI or CT is full, PUG players can join another server to chill, test new maps, play on Survival mode or drive MiGs on MountHarbor :P  
    if the new map have critical bugs, it will be less "bothering" for the guys if players are just chilling for visit the map and look for bugs instead of "serious" 32v32 on usual public servers :)

    by.. putting them in patchs? 🤔 i mean, we talk about RenegadeX, not a old C&C.. RenX have a lot of patches, i think there are enough to add maps to 'em without release them between patchs
    and mappers can use this additionnal time to let guys test their maps or test it themselves and find more bugs, like this HON MCT who can be shooted from outside ^_^ 

    I love to see Renegade X with so many new stuffs, all these new players who are joining, and all these secret projects who will be released the September 2nd 2030 ;)  

    i don't care about downloading maps if i know it will be necessary - i've spent so many hours on Try-Out servers hahahaha :D 
    when i've downloaded MountHarbor for the first time, i've eaten while my game was downloading the map hihi :) 
    when i play on FPI/CT, i eat when a game annoys me and i don't want to play it. but if i want join and i must wait for mins to download smth.. erh.. i could start my 2nd PC or just enjoy the tititititititititi (this weird sound when you download files on RenX and i've heard that a bit too often)

  5. i was in GDI team and walking around
    but Nod players noticed nod harvester wasn't working - i'll search if i've took screenshots but i'm not sure i'd took ss
    if nod harvester is stucked in the first minutes of the game, i think it's a.. real issue
    i've quickly visited Frostbite with Try-Out a few days before "public release" but it was laaate and i've not took time to seriously visit. i've noticed two problems: first is about minimap, it's a old minimap who doesn't match with actual maps - some rocks and stuffs exists on map but not on minimap -. the second problem is AGT missles: they can shoot through the huge radar dome in the middle of the map :) 
    i think nod harvester problem have already been noticed but i've not seen that.. i remember visited the map months ago but it was a old version and afaik nod harv was working :) 

  6. about Steppe i can't say anthing - i've joined as Nod - yea i was able to visit with sbh :) - and i've lost smth like 5 mins later, Nexus led GDI team with waves of mammies and meds while Nod was chilling around with sbh to visit maps.. it was fun

    hi Agent :) about download custom contents, months ago i've thinked "hey, but why players must download custom things? why not add them in the next patch?" so i ask you this question: why you don't put the new maps / mutators / other custom contents in the next patch, instead of release 'em on the servers, who force players to download them and sometimes with horrible low speed (thx my internet provider)

  7. a few days ago we was on.. CT if i'm right and ppl picked Madkyll's new map - Frostbite if i'm right - but ppl forget they need to download the map.. i'm lucky cuz i've already downloaded the map on a testing server, so we was a few to already had the map, but most players (80+%) was stucked on a downloading screen.. while we was playing :P but suddenly, it appeared nod harvester was stucked.. oO i was GDI, so can't check that, but Madkyll already know this issue
    we done change map vote, and began Island - everyone suddenly joined cuz their download suddenly stopped to join Islands or smth like that
    and ppl was like "wtf just happened?" and it's how a "wtf" spam was born in global chat :D 
    so.. i think if nod harvester was stucked at the 1st minute, testers have found this bug before pick the map on public server
    now my question is: why put a map with critical bugs on public server? (if GDI can use his harv but not Nod it's a.. little problem)

  8. i don't agree to keep all money
    when a player switch teams, i think his money could be given to his team - i.e. if i'm GDI and i switch to Nod, all my creds are team-donated to GDI
    and when i'm in Nod, i could have the starting creds (smth like 150 or 200 i can't remember)
    reset creds to 0 is.. meh
    especially if you switch to a team without ref or PP

    hmm... what do you mean Hande? if you disconnect and you reconnect in enemy team, you have all your creds? oO

    i'm not playing Star Citizen because my PC is rly too weak, but i will buy a new PC in a few months and i'll begin to play ;) 
    i'm already in many SC community - not active, but i read and watch everything to learn more and more about SC, game mechanics, lore, devlopment, etc.. ^_^ 

    i'll be happy to join you, and why not make "SC PUG" with RenX players ;)

  10. hmm.. i think there are no many ways to fix that
    there are 4 datas, K-list, kill-list, chat and radio commands.

    my monitor is 1920x1080 and K-list is so huge it's close to be on the volt rifle pic :D
    and you see how kill messages are "on" K-list
    in a 32v32 game, i'll never read the names of the top players if i don't use tab cuz kill messages are spammed :) 
    radio commands are in top left corner, and chat is in a good place. I agree, it's a good idea to separate chat and radio commands
    but the question is: where to put everything?

    if you see at the old hud, there was no problem

    i think the best option (atm) is to put kill list, radio commands and chat at the left.
    because - on my monitor - there are enough place between them.
    but yea it will be horribly stacked (lol) and it will be a text wall (Dan will be pleased)
    i honestly don't see other options, excepts revert back to the old HUD (only for chat, radio and kills)
    but i don't know if it will work on all monitors, cuz i know many of us have huge monitors, and a few still have little monitors :) 

    i've another question who just spawned in my mind
    where is the tech buildings icon on my screenshot on Reservoir?
    i never notice tech bldngs icons because i often use M (the map) to see how is the global situation and to see where my team needs reinforcements
    but.. there is a place to put tech buildings icon on the new HUD? for ppl who don't use M (i'm sure i'm the only one to use M every mins cuz i spent too much time on classic C&C haha) it will be hard for them to see who controls silos/uplink/comm centers/medic centers/meow

  11. pro tip @Ketchup ;) if you want visit a map, try that in testing server ( like T.-O. Custom Server ;)  ) or in solo mode :) you can use F5 god to become Terminator, F5 teleport to become a fkin op chrono soldier from RA2  scrin, F5 fly to.. fly like a fkin op rocket soldier from RA2  aaaaand F5 ghost to become a.. ghost. not a invisible ghost, but a simple ghost. :) 
    you'll find many fun stuffs if you visit maps ;) i really enjoy to visit maps (and outside of maps hehe) and i like fly with planes like Terada 😜
      you will probably enjoy that hehe

    hmm.. the problem about balance is known, but i think it's impossible to balance it in PUB

    i.e., my case:

    my skill depends of my mood and my concentration, i sometimes play like a newb and sometimes.. i feel better cuz it's the Kane's will :) 
    i'm more focused on KD now (yea, it's one of reasons who explain why i've changed my name ;)  ) because teamwork is rly interesting, but i've often been alone to try teamwork stuffs, so.. now i try to play alone, headshot all these little gunners who try to strike my holy Hand of Nod, hunt these little candies - i mean, SBHs -, crush these littles rabbits under my wheels - i mean, engineers - or just doing my shitty stuffs

    noooow about balance

    i think i'm not alone to focus only one part of the entire gameplay possibilities on RenX. after all, focus a part is fun, because you'll become good, and when you're good you can find new challenge by trying something else like AT inf or tanks ;) 


    but sometimes, players will just chilling around instead of playing seriously. and sometimes they will play other stuffs than usually.
    it's why i think you can't really balance a game by picking players or just using their stats like KD, mine disarming, nukes/ions uses, tank kills counts, bldng shoots, etc.. :)

  13. hmm.. i remember a map called Tunnels but i'm maybe wrong - so many maps are never played
    anyway, about map player counts, i think it depends of what you prefers
    i.e. i loooove so much 32v32 on Walls or 25v25 on Islands - 32v32 can quickly become insane in tuns
    Field is often played with 40+ players but it's too easy to camp in enemy base entrance with tanks repairs and AT inf
    FieldX is really fun with 50+ players for have a good teamwork with tanks, repairs, AT infantry, snipers, and have few skilled killers in tunnels

    about 64v64, hehe.. who wants try 64v64 on CNC-Park? :D

    hmm.. if a fact is sure in RenX, it's this one: we NEED to make a tutorial for newbs.
    how it's feasible? what experience are required in code or is it necessary to have experience in other FPS/TPS or other stuffs ? (RenX is the only real FPS/TPS i've ever played, i think 1v1 games on A Path Beyond and MoH on Playstation 1 doesn't count :D )

  15. like said roweboat, it could be really interesting, but yea we have many informations on RenX - maybe because a lot of us are probably C&C RTS players, and we looooove informations :D 

    about change killcam, i've two differents ideas. i don't know if they are possible - probably not - but maybe, if it is.. :) 
    the first is to show enemy player or what killed you ( yourself, a tank, a sniper, etc.. ) to show you where he was - ppl complaining about wallhacks will finally be quiet - and, if it's possible, to allows dead player to Q-spot him - if you're sniped, if dead guy can see where you are he will be able to say to his team where you are, and snipers will be forced to constantly change their fire spots to not be located (like IRL snipers, it's what i like when i snipe)
    the second idea is a "flashback", like see three seconds before your death and with - maybe - a slow motion to see exactly what was the shot and where it hit you

    another fun fact: it taken me 6 months to begin to be initiated - i mean, to stop doing newb things like running in straight lines or stay on the frontline with 2 HP or running to a enemy tank group with a engineer

    anyway, i think "stack" word is too nebulous to be rly defined. what the difference between two skilled players playing doza in Under tunnels, two casual doza in Under tunnels ? stack becomes a stack only when players are skilled ? or when they are too many ? what about commander' rushes ?
    i think teamstack issue doesn't exist, because stack isn't exists.

    stack isn't a issue because game is created in a way who made stack inevitable. and a lot of maps make stacks easy to do.
    i.e., Under. yea, i've just finished a 2hour Under soooo.. it will be my main example :) it's a map i really like but it defines exactly what i mean by "stack"

    first: tanks. it's easy for a team to be stucked in his base by MRLS doing a firewall, or Nod have a lot of tanks and AT guys who just keep heavy fire on GDI base entrance. it's easy to be locked in his base or to lock enemy team in his base. it's a form of stack.

    second: infantry. when a enemy battalion camp your tunnels ( in Nod tuns, Mobii against Chem soldiers / in GDI tuns, dozas against Mobis ) it's impossible to fight because they're stacked together, can easily kill you or shoot down 90% of your HP bar in 2 secs and can heal themselves. it's a form of stack.
    third: map design. when you're stucked in your base, your harvester can't harvest Tiberium, and without Tiberium, no coffee. oh and, no money.
    and, like i've already said - too many times - ingame: "No money: no tanks/good chars. No money: no win"
    fourth: it's easy for coordinated players to change things. i.e., if 2 or 3 skilled players play together, they can easily take pipes, clear tuns, or help on field by sniping healers/throwing EMP nades. if 2 or 3 casual players play together, they can be really dangerous too. imagine a mammoth with 2 hotties: how many light tanks you must use to destroy it? what about SBH who can try to sneak in base ( not rly on Under but on a lot of maps ) With Nexus or other players we've already shooted down buildings in 20v20 games. in other words, we carried our team :P 

    now, i know what you will say: "hey but you not talked about stackers"

    now, i've a question. for you, what is a stacker?

    a few of you will say names. i'll just answer you a word i'll not write because i want not violate server rules.

    many of you will be more respectful and nice and will only say "skilled players who play together"

    now, i've a new question.
    i will not write anymore text walls in this post because it's 2:30 am and i must go sleep - and i'm not sure everyone will read my textwall.
    my question is: for you, when skilled players who play together are stacking ?
    i.e., me and Nexus ( yea, i often use this example because we've often played together. we're not highly skilled, but i prefer talk in my name than other player's names )
    in 20v20 games, when me and Nexus played together in inf paths, we was able to clear them - we wasn't highly skilled but it's often easy to win 2v1 fights and heal ourselves later to be ready to kill another dude -
    often, i ask to my team if anyone want to snipe because i like cover snipers against SBHs or mobis/patch
    players don't need necessary to be highly skilled to be able to make the game "unbalanced"
    in other words, when players complain about known teams of stackers, just keep in mind it can carry games. it's a fact.
    but, there are another fact.
    i.e., on a 2hr Under game, GDI lost because our commander haven't tried any real plan. if a known team was with us, it would absolutely change nothing. if we can't rush to destroy a building, we can't win. 2 infantry fighters can't destroy a building alone, especially on Under.
    it's why i laugh - i prefer laugh than be bad or sad - when players complain about a known team. because it haven't real sense. yea, they have already won games. but like every teams, like every players, stacked or not.

    now, i've a new question. many of you say "if news don't stay it's because stackers".
    i'll just ask you something. you don't need friends for that. you just need to think - seriously think, not the usual things i see -
    are you sure  stackers are the real reason why news don't stay ?
    when a new player comes, he haven't no idea what to do. buying weapons ? they don't know. i know not other games with this gameplay. about bases ? what is a "base" ? is it a flag like usual games ? oh and how players can have tanks ? and it have many other strange stuffs that a new don't understand. oh, and.. i've not talked about non-english players. if they overmine, you can scream in chat DON'T OVERMINE if they don't know what it means they will never answer you. especially if they don't know what key use to open chat box.
    now, a few of you will stay in their boots - idk if this phrase exists in english - and say "but news leave when they're easily killed by someone."
    but..
    hey, are you asking to skilled players to.. not fight news ? the game goal is to destroy enemy base and for reach that it's necessary to kill enemies..
    what about stanks crushing news? what about SBHs ? what about every players who know how to play mobi - not really skilled, just who they know use left button with their Volt Rifle, not more -
    what about arties invisible damages ? what about waves of enemies called rushes but the new player don't have any idea about what means a "rush" ? what about tanks when new is soldier because he don't know how to buy a thing ?
    oh, and.. about "let news alive, don't farm kills on them", i've a fun fact about that.
    when i've was newb with mobis/dozas, i've fighted against a high-skilled player. i wasn't known - MB wasn't already created. i've tried to fight this high-skilled player in 1v1 fights, but i was sure to die.
    But i've not been killed.
    Suddenly, when i was low HP, this high-skilled player just ran back to his base and leave me alone, leave me alive. he was full health and with all his ammo. but he left me alive. two times in a row. it was on Reservoir' dam, i was Nod  if i'm right.
    i'm sure you will never guess who was this high-skilled player
    - erh, already 3 AM..


    anyway
    i will give you my secret tip about teamstack.
    if you're bored by a game, leave it. nobody have any reason to stay doing a stuff he doesn't enjoy. about players who said "ragequit", don't answer them. they have their reasons. If they want stay AFK or staying be raped for hours by enemies, they can. But nobody must bother you if you prefer do another stuffs like drinking a coffee when listening Spotify and writing a post on RenX forums. do what you want. it's the best way to enjoy your time on RenX.
    because, honestly, i've more chances to invite french president to come to play with me on RenX than to see, one day, a real answer to fix the "issue problem".

    and if you're fully bored by RenX, i can already said you: there is no better game than RenX.

    oh, and.. a last tip.
    keep in mind RenX is A GAME. it's a game. please, stop to stalk players. feel free to target them with Ramjet rifles, not with words.
    we're a game community, a little community but one of the most - and certainly the most - C&C community still alive. Don't destroy it by childish comportements.

    oh, and.. a laaast thing.

  17. honestly, i don't think the problem can be solved by a game feature, or a moderator stuff
    only players mentality can do real changes
    but you know.. in every human groups, you will find good guys, bad guys, etc..
    i don't really attempt anything - because if something should be done, it would have been a long time ago
    about stack, the word haven't real sense. When 3 good snipers fight together when enemy team have only 1 good sniper, is it a stack? when 15 ppl rush a tun defended by 2 guys, is it a stack? but.. if rushes are stack, what commander is supposed to do ?
    Stack is inherent to RenX gameplay, it's a team v team game, not a BR
    maybe attempt to haven't stack isn't a good idea, because it's impossible
    in a team v team game, you will often have friends who play together, or ppl playing together ( like reps with tanks or when i cover a Havoc with my mobi )
    about high skilled players, i feel really sad because poi had not anymore fun - when you're harassed 1/2 games you play.. i don't know how she have played so many years with all this shit thrown at her face, she really deserves more respect
    i've tried to become as good as her, and i'm soooo far from her skill - i've headshooted Minji 2 hours ago on Islands during a sniper fight and, oh god, it makes me feel like a cloud when i can headshot skilled snipers
    i've wanted to reach poi' skill - i've always known never i will be able to do that, but only reach the best skill i can have - to fight her successfully.
    but all these toxic players who harassed her until she left.. honestly, i want not anymore play, if everyone will insult me.
    oh, and.. @FPImods @CTmods read your logs, read what players posted when they learned poi's gone.
    it makes me really sad to play on a game where i know i can't do what i want because i'll be hated by many players.
    (eeerh against a textwall.. definitvely i must learn to reduce my walls)

    i'm not - i've never been and i will never be - as good as you
    it was really hard to fight you, but sometimes i've killed you in 1v1 sniper fights, it was incredible and really enjoyable
    many ppl complain about you, but.. what about arty camping in inf paths? like Field, FieldX, Under,...
    i'm a inf player, these arties who do invisible damages are really bad
    what about bombermans? if it's forbidden in PUG, it's for a reason
    anyway, i'm really sad for you because i know many ppl - and i know who - are happy because you left, and they wanted this..

    i want to ask something to all good infantry players, i will not say names but everyone know who i'm thinking ;)
    if players begin to complain about your skill cuz "you're cancer" "hax" "you're killing server" what will you do?
    and if i can't become good to snipe or infantry fight without "be cancer for the community" what i should do?
    must i stop to play what i like?

  19. honestly i don't care about win or lose if i've enjoyed game
    i've played a Reservoir game, my team had been totally crushed by Nod team but i've enjoyed to play mobius and hunt these butterflies - oh, i mean SBH of course :D
    i've played a Under game, my team was stucking enemy team in his base - i was GDI and GDI taken field, usual Under - but we was like 5 mobi in their tunnels. i'd not fun because not really challenge - anyway, server has crashed before end ^^ 
    i've already played games my team won, but i've not enjoyed it - sometimes lack of luck, sometimes lack of skill by my teamates, i'm thinking about all these times where i'm low hp and techies totally don't care about me :D sometimes because map isn't fun - i like play as infantry, i talk about these maps without infantry paths ; Walls is a exception, i like hunt enemy sneaky snakes with mobius ;)  

    but if i play a game where a team have a stack of players, in my team or in opposite team, i can't have fun if i haven't a bit of difficulty
    i like have easy meat running like engineers when i'm playing mobius, but i prefer fight against mendoza - it's more challenging :) 
    teamstack ruins it because a team will be stucked in his base without money and motivation to play, it makes me sad or bored - and in both cases, i prefer leave than lose my time without have fun
    oh, about it : i prefer leave a game where i've not fun than stay and lose my time, once is because now i've not as many free time than months before, twice because i don't like do boring stuffs - if i want do boring stuffs, i've a job and i'm paid for that

    when i leave because i don't enjoy game - i can don't enjoy game when my team is winning and i can enjoy a game when my team is losing - i don't call it a ragequit but a funquit ; i quit to have more fun by doing other stuffs :) 
    again, as always, it's only my point of view ;) it's maybe wrong, feel free - and it's the reason why i'm writing that - to write what u think, your feels, etc.. :) 

    EDIT : i can still quote examples : i've enjoyed a Walls match because i've played sniper and killed a few people, but i've lose the game. i've absolutely not enjoyed Field, first because i'm Nod and like usually Nod is stucked in his base, but too because when you want play sakura and you can't stay alive more than 1 minute ( remember you need to wait 5 minutes to have enough creds to buy sakura ) .. i've began to play arty because it's cheap, but i've not enjoyed it, and finally i left because i've lost 40 mins of my time without find interesting stuffs to do or enjoy some epic success or epic fails ( yea i love enjoy my epic fails :D
