Low FPS

I recently just downloaded Renegade X version 5.54.170 on my laptop and I am experiencing very poor frame rates I.E. 10 -25 FPS, no matter the graphical preset I play on and in the past when I would play on my laptop, I’d experience zero issues with frame rates.

So, far I’ve updated my Nvidia drivers, locked the frame rate by changing the (UDKEngine.ini) config file, Re-installed the game and none of these have resolved the issue.

 

Here are my laptops specs:

CPU - i7-8750H

RAM – 8GB DDR4-2400

GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB)

HD - Toshiba HG6 M.2 mSATA SSD 256GB Solid State & a 1tb HDD

 

Any help would be appreciated!

In Nvidia Control Panel, check whether or not Renegade X (UDK.exe, in Binaries/Win64) is ran by your GPU instead of your CPU. More often than not, it will pick your CPU (integrated graphics) for whatever reason if you're playing on a laptop. This happened to my laptop as well

This was indeed the issue. Thank you, very much! 

I am now getting 150 - 200 FPS and can now play again. NGL those 15 fps dips made it really hard to play...
