Launcher deleting all files, can't update the game

Hello. I wanted to try Renegade X for the first time and I already have a problem. So, when trying to launch patcher from folder where I installed the game all files disapear and I got an error that launcher.exe can't be found. Any tips how to solve that? Opening launcher from desktop and reinstalling game didn't help at all.

System: Windows 8.1

I don't get what you are doing. You can't manually launch the patcher. The normal flow for installing an playing Renegade X is:

1. Download MSI installer from site;
2. Execute installer and wait for completion;
3. Execute the Launcher;
4. Launcher will ask you to install the game;
5. Wait for completion of installation -> after installation you will be asked to install UE3Redist, do this;
6. Wait for completion of UE3Redist;
7. All done, now you can launch the Launcher and play the game.

Are you 100% sure you are using the Launcher as your startingpoint? Please provide some more info (Or screens of your Renegade X folders)

Turns out I was patching launcher, not the game. But now I have another problem:

I had some problem with the launcher install, too but the full build worked.

I don't use firewalls and other things like that. 

Well, now I can open laucher but it's out of date and I need patch that. When I try to download new version of launcher again it says that launcher.exe cannot be found but files remain in folder.

usually there is one full server in the evening (CET), players are starting to join servers in ~ 3-4h
