Flak and kevlar armor

I just downloaded the latest version after not being online for a long time, and I see Kevlar and flak armor on the characters. Now ofcourse it's easily guessed that flak armor protects against explosions and Kevlar works for bullets. But how much difference it makes is rather hard to guess.

Is there any way to see the damage changes based on flak and Kevlar armor? Maybe a suggestion would be to better show off the differences for new players?

Edit: game looked sweet btw

Flak is like literally 50% explosion damage, but 120% bullet damage. Important to note, that is ONLY when applied to armor damage, once you are down to health it is 100% straight damage.

Kevlar is same, except 80% bullet damage, but 100% explosive damage.

Note, bullets really mess up flak armor infantry, and explosions like mines and tank shells mess up kevlar based infantry.

Also note, that "energy" weapons tend to do 100% damage to targets. That is snipers, tiberium, electric, ion, laser, ect.

The General rule is

Flak is 50% resistance to explosives with 30% vulnerability to bullets. Kevlar is 30% resistance to bullets.

This is mostly true across the board but there are some exceptions to those values, like a lot of sidearms have less extreme multipliers.

Snipers and energy things like lasers don't have any multipliers, which is why the Lcg still wipes the floor with whatever it looks at.

Those are some hefty differences between flak and Kevlar. It's nice to see them, but I think that it's important to clarify these differences from the get-go, as it makes choices for infantry combined with tactics a lot more important. I've been doing rushes through mines with Kevlar infantry or happily engaging bullets with Flak armor, I would really have changed some things if I knew about this beforehand.

Thanks for the info :)

Yeah, if you have flak infantry available, allow them to walk through the mines, a Rave can walk a LOT of mines relatively.

If you are planning an Anti-Structure rush, I now think the "leader" and maybe 1 other, should also invest in chaingunner or 1k anti-infantry or chem/mcfarland. Acting as an "enforcer", they can parry enemy AP off of your rush so 3 don't slaughter 12.
