I requested such a button (that would lock the turret movement, but not the camera), but got no feedback on the request from the devs. So it's unclear if this will ever happen or not.

That's a good idea actually. It would give the option to allow the MRL to behave like how it did in Renegade. Maybe it would be OP though since it's 6 missile lock is already quite strong.

You can achieve curved shots by rotating your rocket turret away from where you want it to go, and then start curving towards the target while firing. This can be done with mammoth rockets and stank rockets too.

I did this in old renegade by spinning around and firing the same way.

On the topic of locking direction, I recall the ability for orcas and apaches to lock one of their movement in one of the 3 axes? (I can't remember which one, it may have been shooting sideways while moving and facing forwards)

A long, long, long time ago, back before the UT3 mod was out they talked about having a button to lock the MRLS turret into a fixed spot so it could behave like it did in Renegade. But I'm just assuming they did away with that idea.

It would be nice to have though.

yeah... I don't think the MRLS needs any more buffs considering the arty nerfs. Want to fire around corner without exposing your hitbox? tough, peek out, shoot 6 rockets then go back into cover.
