stronin Posted April 4, 2007 Share Posted April 4, 2007 As the title suggests, I was wondering if you guys were going to be using normal mapping with any of your models, since UT3 has the capability of it? JeepRubi Posted April 4, 2007 Share Posted April 4, 2007 We are using normal maps on all characters, but since it is likely that there could be 20 vehicles on the screen at once, we are going to stick to bump maps unless they are needed to save on proccesing power. I did some playing around and found out that the photoshop DSS plugin does in fact turn basic texture or bump maps into normal maps. Sorry bout that .
