epicelite Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Ion Cannon: I always found it strange, why does it rain when you plant the beacon? Maybe the satellite is pulling energy from the atmosphere and that creates a storm, but then why doesn't the storm build up slowly till it fires then dissipate slowly afterwords? It just kind of instantly shows up and leaves. Always hated how the beam slowly built up just before going off, because in every other C&C Game that features the Ion Cannon it's pretty much an instantaneous blast that slowly dissipates afterwords. DrummerX Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Ever Seen ghost busters, DON"T CROSS THE BEAMS!, also the other games you don't get to see it up close and personal like you can here! Quote
Totem Arts Staff [NE]Fobby[GEN] Posted April 27, 2011 Totem Arts Staff Posted April 27, 2011 On a related note, there will be a new ion cannon animation. Quote
epicelite Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Is the thing still going to come down sideways if the beacon is on a slope? Quote
Former Developers Havoc89 Posted April 27, 2011 Former Developers Posted April 27, 2011 No it wont, that was a bug. Quote
R315r4z0r Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 It would be cool if you could actually see the satellite way up in the sky as part of the firing animation. Quote
