  1. What could have been a loss, turned out to be a game lasting forever. Sometimes they only action I could note from people is voting no, cause there was really NOTHING else they did. It proves again that getting a surrender 'passed' is hard enough...

When the games becomes stalemate and nothing good happens for both teams the Change map vote is the best way of ending it. And people are often voting f1 for it after a long game. Nobody wants to surrender however.

  2. Increasing the required number of 'yes' votes is definitely not desirable. A surrender vote already requires more than a simple majority of 'yes' votes.

Surrendering brings a hopeless game to a close and saves everybody involved a significant amount of time. The process of dismantling a team's remaining base can go on for hours, frustrating everybody on both teams who just want to play the game. Instead of wasting time on a hopeless battle that drives players away, surrendering gets players back into the action on a new and level playing field. Surrendering isn't bad.

The majority of surrendervotes happen when the winning team is 30 seconds from destroying the last buildings OR when a hottie/tech unexpectedly destroys one building and the team becomes butthurt.

so you like beat the enemy into the dirt..

its like: HEY WE SURRENDER!! WHITE FLAG..... PLEASE?!

and the enemy team: pew pew pew *ions or nukes raining*

yes, that is the most fun part, or alternatively defending the base to the bitter end

  3. Something needs to be done with the surrender vote. Right now people rage-surrender even with two or three buildings left and it often requires only 7-8 yes votes for it to happen. It's not only annoying when your own team surrenders but also when you play on the winning team. The satisfaction of winning by destroying the last enemy building is gone.

The surrender vote should require a lot more yes votes from the team before the voting goes trough.

  4. The original game had flying and non-flying versions of Walls and City. Maybe both versions could be made playable for Lakeside? Lakeside is actually a really fun map for tankplay but you will often be killed by a helicopter or orca if you drive around outside the base, especially as nod.

  5. Currently it's strategic value is low

    That's what newcomers actually believe

Yes you get some money and like 40 points for capturing it but it's strategical value is minimal right now. It should grant you something else. It's really fun to buy or unlock new special weapons/team powers and with the silo doing nothing else than making money it takes away some of the fun of the game. More strategical value of the silo gives the players something else to do other than the usual shooting at the enemys base.

  6. In this thread we discuss ideas for the tiberium silo. Currently it's strategic value is low without the tiberium weapons available for all units. I'll try to make a list of my own suggestions:

    - Silo/outpost (on big maps like lakeside and x-mountain): Capturing the buildings gives the team a gun emplacement that can be manned and a purchase terminal for infantry and items. This lets the team have control of the battlefield without having to go back to the base.

    - Tank repair facility: repairs nearby vehicles

    - Frontline communication center: Jams the enemys radar aka. minimap

    - Purchasable tiberium weapons for vehicles: Earlier the purchasable sidearms made hotties a problem, well upgraded tiberium weapons for vehicles wouldn't be as drastic but still powerfull.

    - Purchasable tiberium unit: some sort of mutant

    - miscellaneous: All of the teams units cost a little less/buildings have more armour/ units have more firepower

  7. I really don't understand why you would make the snipers weaker and I have never heard anyone (good players) complain that they are overpowered. It makes no sense that a headshot doesn't kill.

This is renegade, renegade is supposed to have plenty of snipers and it really isn't that hard to avoid getting hit by them. People who complain about them should just learn to play, never stand still and always keep moving or hiding behind something just like in reality. bullets kill.
