  1. Are the devs aware of some of the more critical bugs at the moment? For instance my friends and I have all had issues connecting to servers. The game seems to dump us into a random server. It often takes 30 minutes or more to get on the same server.

No, they're going to leave all the bugs in the game and sell DLC instead...

... Yes the bugs will be fixed.

Ohhhh i hope they are selling alternate character skins... I feel weapons always break the games.

But yes give them time the game has only been available to the public for 3 or 4 days now. I lost count already...

  2. Drive your tanks backwards. It gives the enemy less area to hit it. Especially true for the artillery.

I think i should clarify that a bit, meaning driving it so that the rear with the gun is the first thing to go around objects so that you don't have to wait to shoot and expose less of your vehicle. Useful for artillery, MLRS, medium, and light tanks.

  3. Well the HUD and its Damage indicators have been spoken about many times and needs some tweaking.

And for headshots, dont everyone see the enemy you headshot head blow off?

And the even more talked about topic, airstrikes, i think we all (or mostly) agree they need fixing or just the option to turn it off in general.

The heads blowing up might depend on the people having the gore setting unchecked. Not sure I personally play with it unchecked.

  4. The thing with the mine limit is you don't know if those are even the mines that was place in your buildings. I have had times where I mine the base and being a defensive player on map without base defenses. I keep running from building to building checking the mines and replacing them with the mine counter at 30/30. Yes you can just watch the mine counter if your going to be lazy, but you might find out that something is wrong a little too late.

  5. I like to play SBH on nod

If i got to GDI I like to play as Hotwire ;)

I always think like a SBH ... and always defende on GDI

on a 50 slot server, you probably need 6 Hotwires constantly guarding the base ...

if you have those, and consider the close spawn after a hotwire died + those who happen to be in base

you should have a good chance to defende all base

the key is to scare the SBH, do not let them plant .. make them run around the base in fear of being uncovered

you also can use an APC to drive around the base ... (but not exit if you found the beacon)

I remember matches where i was driving an APC around the base and having a defuse team on board

BUT if you get 6 SBH to plant nukes on strategic places simultaneous, you sure found a good team!

Naw base defense in the old renegade usually consisted of 3 or 4 hotwires and whoever was in the base at the time of the alert. Even if you was in a tank about to drive into the field you turned around and check the closest building, but with 3 or 4 hotties you knew if it was real or fake before you even turned to head back.

  6. This might sound stupid, but could of they been pressing shift?

There is speed haxs for this game I have seen it used. It was used against my team in a match and lets say I enjoyed it every time I got that little boink sound off of them. It is also really easy to kill them because they have to stop if they want to get good shots.

  7. Yes but then it would take away from needing to have a static base defense team. Whose job it is to keep the base mined, repair, as free of enemy beacons as they can. To be honest if your in a area that you need the icon to tell you something is damaged you probably not close enough to help if its getting hit hard.

Edit: I shouldn't say it takes away from needing the static team, but it would give more of a feeling you can leave the base undefended for a small amount of time.

  8. Its better to put 3 mines at the doors of building then trying to keep enemies from getting into the base. Yes beacons are annoying but they have warning, where a group using timed c4 doesn't.

Edit: It is also a good idea to mine the ramps of the war factory and power plant. And the ramps on the hand of nod because they can be used to jump into the building.

  9. By yourself, yea, it is very unlucky to run into. Yet, when storming the base, I mean that is the one of the advantages of being on home turf.

At the same time, while refilling can be fast, it does put the person refilling at a disadvantage, because you know where they are going to be standing next.

Isn't the fact that they'll respawn within 1-2 seconds after being killed in either the same or a close by building already home turf advantage enough? What exactly kind of advantage does knowing that the guy is hugging the panel do for me?

    1. I can shoot at him, this wastes my ammo.

    2. I can place a C4 on him, now I'll have to wait for it to explode and I've just wasted up my C4 charge on someone who's just going to respawn in a building next to here.

    3. I can shoot at the building, so he can shoot at me.

    4. If I do anything else he's just going shoot at me.

Base advantage implies that there's something I can do, and not just "there's a man in da house your guns are useless now get out"

I'm not saying ban the panel, even a 1second charge bar to use the refill is enough.

If you have such control over the enemy base, a good way to stop this, is to have an infantry unit stand outside, but in range of the door.

This will force the doors open to allow tanks to fir inside.

This would be useful of tanks firing inside actually did anything. They don't and the time between tank shots is plenty enough to hit the panel. People can also just keep hitting the panel to spam grenades / C4 which might not be so good for the tanks.

Have you tried using the new item they added to the game called the hand grenade? And really your sidearm has unlimited ammo so why are you afraid to waste it?
