  1. Agreed, it is quite difficult to distinguish. Its also difficult to read player names because the text is so small.
  2. Yes, thanks for bringing that up the serves seem to be reporting inaccurate player numbers as well.
  3. Not sure how to describe this issue completely. I have been playing with a group of friends. We all select a server to and once we join we will discover some of us ended up in the intended server, while others are no where to be found and seemingly joined another server. And it can take a while before we can all join the same server. This is not a result of the server capacity being full, rather the client seems to be throwing us into random servers sometimes. This has occurred many times especially tonight, it was not as much of an issue earlier this morning.
  4. Yes, I scrolled down to the very bottom and the very top.
  5. Thanks for the reply. Another thing we noticed is players names seem to completely disappear once they get inside a vehicle, which further adds to confusion .
  6. This worked, as well as editing the config. But for some reason 1920x1080 never showed up as a possible resolution in the options menu, thought I would let you guys know.
  7. Not everything needs to be old and archaic for the sake of it. Really it should be an easy feature to implement and would make playing with friends more enjoyable.
  8. Great launch so far guys. I have been playing with a group of friends, and one thing we all agree on is its a little difficult and hectic to find everyone on the battlefield (even when we are all in vent). If you would allow squads, or some sort of friends notification that changes the in game text color of your friends to another color, or some other sort of indicator, I think it would really make the game more enjoyable for groups that play together by allowing friends to easily locate one another. Perhaps some sort of indication on radar could be useful as well. Thanks
  9. In the game menu I am unable to select the native resolution for my monitor 1920x1080. The highest resolution available is 1680x1050. Usually if a game doesn't display my monitor resolution I can change the aspect ratio then it becomes available; however, I do not see this here. Is anyone else having this issue?
  10. After watching the nearly 2 hour developer playthrough commentary, one of the things that struck me as odd is the lack of an explosion when a vehicle is destroyed. The majority of the time the vehicle just instantly disappears. No explosion graphics or sound. Perhaps this is just something that is in beta at the moment and will be addressed pre launch?
  11. If you guys want to grow this community, you will need to embrace new blood too, not just people who played the original for hours on end.
  12. Customization would be best, or if that is too hard because of the engine, just give a few options, some more "generic" and less out of place. I know you all love the boink but joking aside, some people actually legitimately find it annoying over time. I've played Renegade a long time and I prefer to use something else. I do like being notified of a kill however, and would rather not have to turn it off. Agreed. The reason I created this thread was to forewarn the devs as to what many new players will be thinking when they hear the kill confirmed sound. It has some novelty of course, and many of you who played the original will still be fond of it, but for the majority of new players I think this sound will be off putting.
  13. I think this may be a case of rose colored nostalgia glasses. Or in this case, rose colored boink.
  14. Today was the first day I had been introduced to this game via another users forum post on another board. I grew up with the C&C series and was very impressed from the footage I viewed. However, there is one minor issue that is really nagging me, and that is the *boink* sound that plays after you kill a target. I know the developers aimed to keep some of the quirks from the original game, but I think they should reconsider or at the very least allow you to disable it. For anyone that did not grow up playing the original renegade it will likely be a sound that removes some level of immersion from the game. It is comical, and sounds completely out of place when the games OST is playing in the background and you are rolling in an armor column into the enemies base, call down an air strike and proceed to here *boink*x5.
