Maybe brighten up the minimap a little bit? Especially the surrounding rocks look a bit damped.
I dunno why UDK automatically darkens the imported texture..
Love to see the map in the next patch

Yes it does! 2 mins after first level start; and after that every 6 or 7 mins.

I really missed those Blossom Trees since RenX came out.
It's just small "Basalt" rocks stocked on top of eachother. I experimented with some Material Instances that allowed it to move without kismet.
But dunno if it's benefitial or not
So in action it would be slightly pulsating, moving and emitting spores.

So are you ready for another "unappreciated map-kun"?
Well, I'm currently fiddling with some deathmatch settings, testing out material instances, landscapes... and it seems like that my former test map is going to be an unexpected Deathmatch map
It's set (as the name implies) in an tiberium wasteland with, due to high tiberium exposure, destroyed buildings and toxic lakes.
Team DM settings: 2 vs 2

SpoilerNoone knows what time of day it really is... the only source of light is the giganic green shimmering, deadly lake in the north.
Nod forces had to abandon their research facilities due to the high Tiberium contamination

Hope you all had a nice Christmas^^
changelist:
- fixed the preview image (now it works :p)
- redone the Endgame cam because the old one was too flickery
- redone the minimap and is now less egocentric
- added one-way paths for non chems at the silos
- added some decoration
- removed the barbed wire on the silos and the area is now accesible
- added wind effects to the foliage -> begins moving stronger during sandstorm
Yep thats it for now
Oh and btw. to see the actual sandstorm be sure that you have set the [Detail Level] in the [Settings] at "High" or "Very High"

Yes that's true, but for new players who don't know how this engine works it might be a bit problematic/laborious to do that.
Maybe some remakes of a couple good old UT DM maps could blow some fresh wind to the scenery and open up a new playerbase?

Hey all!
I thought about this earlier and I want to ask: Why is deathmatch not listed in the Skirmish Game Mode beside Command & Conquer?
I know it's been discussed a lot but there never was a real conclusion.. DM could give players the possibility to improve their character skills in Skirmish.
Of course we need more maps like DM-Deck
Would it be a lot of work to implent that feature?

Wierd...
Seems like it won't do it because you had the Server selected and preloaded the vid "Goldrush".
Try starting the launcher validation without selecting a Server.

This map was to 95% finished but never got released. That made me very sad .
So I decided to take a look at it and tried to make it ready for testing
And here it is:
DOWNLOADchangelist:
- added/moved some blocking volumes (to the destroyed vehicles)
- added SpottingAreaNodes
- added a complete EndGameSequence
- added a minimap
- added fire damage volumes on burning debris
- added fog density inside the Tiberium lake
- added a liquid volume to the lake (so you dont just fall on the ground but rather float in it)
- added 'normal' Tib volume to the crystals surrounding the lake
- changed the instantKillVolume on the Tiberium lake to a Tiberium volume (does waaay more damage than normal tib)
- changed the wind direction of all emitters so that they match
- disabled the collision on small debris on the ground (could easly get stuck on it

Description:
A map that is set in desert scenery with deadly Sandstorms wrecking the land.
- Infantry only!
- Symmetrical
- 1 Barracks for GDI
- 1 Hand Of Nod for the Brotherhood
- 1 Guard Tower per team
- 2 Green Tiberium Silos
- 1 Blue Tiberium Silo in the center
- 3 Cratespawns
- lots of infantry paths
- an open Battlefield for massive combat
Just unzip the package into the UDKGame directory and have fun!

I mean... This is just a game! And games are supposed to make fun.
I understand that it's frustrating to loose a kazillion times with umbalanced teams. But raging about it won't help anyone..

Whoops that shouldn't have happend!
I checked a few things and yes I indeed changed something. While I was playing with CNC-Ash in the SDK and ported it over to the game itself, I
accidently forgot to change the "[CNC-Ash Rx_UIDataProvider_MapInfo]" line in the .ini file, thus the crash...
But.. stupidity has to be punished.. So I lost all my other custom made maps as I re-installed the game

Hey,
Yesterday the Launcher wanted to update itself from 0.63 to 0.64 but it wouldn't download correctly..
So today I tried again and this time it worked kinda. But if I try to start the game or join a server it freezes after the Unreal and RenegadeX intro on this loadning screen:
*not the same screen but also one that showes the game tutorial and the "establishing battlefield command" line..
Any idea how to fix this?

No. The credits you get are your credits only. You can do whatever you want. Each player has its own credit income.
stealth: does the gdi units see the stealth units like the nod player (in this blue skin)? if no - when do they get uncovered?
You can see an enemy stealthed player if you walk close to him. If a stealthed player fires a shot, he gets automatically visible.

Just watch and learn how experienced players do it
