I have grass skins that make for example my Walls_Fly skin to look like a map from the original C&C with lot of greenery.

And my green Med tank green skin goes along perfectly. No advantage, just as beautiful and pleasant for the eyes to see.[/b]

I think those could actually be the 0.01% of Renegade skins I actually like. Nice choices.

To be honest, I am glad the game engine doesn't support easy reskinning and I hope we don't make any efforts to add that kind of support.[/b]

IMHO the less spongebob C4 reskins out there, the better![/b]

    Couldn't agree more.

At least can the team make some variations for the chars/veh ?[/b]

Would be nice, as long as it doesn't slow down development though. Gameplay > Cosmetics.

I can make the wikia firefox compatible. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.[/b]

Well it works fine in FireFox 3.1b2 for me and according to GummiBear it works fine in FireFox 3.0 so... Maybe epicelite's computer just has trouble loading the 4 videos and x amount of images simultaneously?

well im a big fan of FF and i start to like IE .. but only IE 8 ... cause it start to have the capability of FF ....[/b]

Yup, with IE8 it looks like they're finally getting serious with web standards. They've added a lot of much needed CSS support; Late, but better late than never I suppose.

No, it only takes the press of a button to see if it is a false alarm or not... not something that someone will pay "less attention to." I mean, unless they aren't a lazy dude who can't be bothered to turn his sound on or press K...[/b]

If I'm close by I just point my cross-hair at the building to see what's happening. What happens after that depends on whether it looks like my team needs assistance, spamming the radio commands, etc.
  5. From an amateur web designer's point of view, Microsoft's IE Team has a horrible track record with following web standards... Not to mention some very annoying proprietary features that mess with a website's layout if you don't pay extra attention. All the other major web browsers don't have these annoyances; FireFox, Opera, Safari, Konqueror. In fact, on average if you design a website in notepad to follow W3C standards it will probably look normal in the four previously mentioned browsers and have a few broken parts in Internet Explorer. It's not uncommon for designers to have to include a secondary stylesheet specifically tailored to IE with a bunch of "hackish" techniques just to get everything to look normal...

I agree. I think the time, credits, mine count and vehicle count would look much better on the bottom of the screen. I don't see the need for the player A player B whatever thing on the bottom. Unless you move it somewhere else, like under the chat box or over the radar. (Making it smaller, of course)

Also, I think you should stick with the original style reticule. Or better yet, make it like Crysis in that you have a bunch of different reticules and the player can choose the one they like best.

Other than that minor stuff, it looks excellent!

OH, one more thing. You probably noticed this already, but I'll mention it anyway: You shouldn't be able to see the amount of credits the other team has.[/b]

Being able to drag and drop things where we want it would be even cooler, but I usually get used to the defaults quickly even if I don't like it at first.
  7. I found it through a post on renforums when Fobby announced "Renegade 2007" was looking to recruit people.

Have to admit I didn't think much of it at the time, but once I saw how the new C&C Field looked I knew I'd end up being pleasantly surprised with the outcome and so far I haven't been let down :)

Been lurking on the forums for a while but only registered when the RenX team hosted a community game.

Where i live, i did most of my IT courses through RPL (recognized Prior learning), basically you sit down, have an interview show them work you have done as proof, maybe do a test, solve some problems.... and then BAM instant pass, then on the harder courses i did the work and got all highs and distinctions.

Do you guys have a system like RPL?[/b]

I should look into that for my area, would be really great.
    Thanks for the info.

I know a bunch of sites that use this for downloading large "completely legitimate" files hehe :P

You can also split files into archives that automatically get combined when extracting them into the same folder all at the same time.

I, and probably many others, wouldn't mind hosting download mirrors either, if permitted.
