    What attracts you most about Renegade X

    I have bought and play many many FPS games. Usually I play, beat the game, then put it in my memory box until I feel like playing it later in a couple years.

    Only a few games still escape from being imprisoned in my memory box (Doom, Renegade, Delta Force 2, etc)...

    I am specifically attracted to this mod due to the fact that I became sick of W3D Renegade's glitches. Some basic things still annoy me. Also, in this day and age, it's about time a game like Renegade got a nice graphical update.

    This is why I love this mod...I no longer want to play in a game where the graphics are cartoony at best but look realistic and Ren X is the answer.

    Plus the C&C mode is very fascinating to say the least....

    I can buy the game as long as it's new...but oh yes I will look for cheap one.

    Also, depends on when Ren X will be released. Plus, I am upgrading my comp soon but again that too depends on when Ren X/Doom 4 is released.

    If Ren X is gonna be released next week, then I will upgrade my comp tommorrow. :lol:

    My first impression was that that was what they were going to do. I really don't have a problem with that though I still am a bit grudgy about Hourglass and blue skies (my fav map - sorry Fobby! :angry: :lol: :lol: :P )

    But the remakes are very good with new features. I see it this way: a mod as HUGE as Ren X does not deserve to simply remake high polygon versions of the W3D maps. We need a COMPLETE overhaul and that is what the team is doing so I am fine with that.

    Even then, I am sure perfect remakes will be made; if not by the team, then by someone else.

    For fun:

    GDI Infantry: Gunner

    Nod Infantry: Laser Chain Gunner (great if Repair gun picked up)

    GDI Vehicles: Medium Tank, Orca

    Nod Vehicles: Light Tank, Apache

    AOW/Sniper/CW mode:

    GDI Infantry: Hotwire, Deadeye

    Nod Infantry: Technician, BH sniper

    GDI Vehicles: Medium Tank (or teching them), Orca

    Nod Vehicles: Light Tank, Arty (or teching them), Apache

    HI!

    I never played UT3 but do we see birds and such in UT3 in-game? Reason I am asking is that I am wondering if birds can be added in certain maps.

    In Walls_Flying, if you walk to the side near the giant cliff, you will hear vultures screaming...

    I like how you remade Under: with so much jagged icy rocks and such...so when you do the same for Walls_Flying, can you also add a few vultures flying here and there?

    If it's not possible, then please don't forget the sounds atleast...
