  1. So I tried this before in a different config file but it had no effect, but I was bored and took another look around. Turns out there is a different config file that does work! Minor annoyance: This reset all my other controls when I did it, but that's an easy fix.

You can also change the key to change firing mode, only use with Patch for his grenade I think. Its two line above the lock vehicle key.

1)Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Renegade X\UDKGame\Config (Use your brain if your game is installed in a different place.)

    2)Open the file "DefaultInput"

3)Crtl+F and find the line .Bindings=(Name="B",Command="GBA_ToggleVehicleLocking")

4)Change the character in the quotes to whatever you want, can be tricky for things other then standard letters.

    5)????????

    6)PROFIT!

Can someone remind me what the default bind vehicle key is? I changed mine and forget what the default is...

  2. The problem with Orca/Apache, which I have been complaining about since forever, is they are good for literally everything. A jack-of-all-trades vehicle that also goes really fast so you can run away and repair easily as soon as you take significant damage. You can run away from a ground vehicle fight, repair, and be back before the ground vehicle has had time to retreat. People enjoy the instant gratification of being able to buy one and get right to wherever the action is quickly.

What are the downsides to such an amazing piece of equipment? Its got kinda low health, but you're pretty fast and extremely maneuverable so not much of a problem.

If I were in charge the first thing I would do to them is remove the passenger seat, but I don't see that doing very much overall. Maybe people would buy Chinooks a little more, but nobody going to not buy their Orca/Apache just because they're going to be slightly less helpful to the team. Lets be honest, that's low on their list of priorities.

Perhaps something along the lines of a 10-15 second warmup before aircraft can take off would be enough to discourage the lone-wolf "jump out and repair myself real quick" types?

  3. You can't do dick on your own.

    I mean, MAYBE if:

-You are GDI and Nod is seriously not paying attention AT ALL you could sneak into the Nod Ref.

-You are Nod and get a spy crate, and GDI is paying little attention

So the Field experience consists of:

    -Dicking around in the tunnels

-Camping in a vehicle outside of the enemy base

    -Crate whoring

-Attempting, and failing, to get your team to work together in any significant manner. Which usually results in failure anyway because of how easy defense is.

None of which are particularly fun.
