    by the way where is this MoO owner? he told me he spoofed his server count in hosts.txt and he managed to get 70 players online in 1 game.

    Suggestions:

    Change your rcon password to something else that isn't 1234 now that the public knows it.

    Don't make your vehicle limit over 15. There is a bug with a massive amount of vehicles in play that causes the server to lag.

    Don't make your player count over 40. The limit is 40 at the moment. You can do more than 40 but it won't show up on the server listings. This is a temporary cap until they fix some netcode issues.

    As for bots, use the rcon commands

    addbots [num]

    addredbots [num] - This adds GDI bots.

    addbluebots [num] - This adds Nod bots.

  3. Like others have said, the graphics on Ren-X are good, but hardly groundbreaking compared to what is currently being released. Arma 3 is like playing watching a movie when your settings are maxed out. Any decent 5+ year old PC should be able to handle the UT3 engine which was released over 7 years ago.

    I agree. I was able to play UT3 perfectly fine. Supposely if you can play UT3, then you can play Ren-X. But holy shit Ren-X is way too high demanding.

  4. Same for the EVA messages. Only 1 EVA message is allowed at the moment. When the next one comes in, it removes the last EVA message (replaces it). Can we get something similar to the Renegade chat system? 5 max radio commands within 3 secs. If you go over, then there's a 10 sec cool down. Same for the actual chat.

  5. Some of you may have heard of CloudyServ for C&C Renegade. It's an IRC regulator to moderate renegade servers from IRC without having to be ingame. I've been working on one much like it for C&C Renegade-X. Much like the Renegade version, it's entirely IRC scripted. As times goes, I plan on implementing more things like a moderator system, ladder, logging for kicks and bans, recommendations, ip/steamid database and many more.

    The great thing about this is you don't have to worry about it crashing your server. It's not a mutator nor does it lock on to the server itself and you can restart it without halting your server entirely.

    Just configure the CloudyServ.ini and run the mirc.exe and you're good to go.

    Some current features include:

    - Ingame setjoin messages for players

    - A !seen system to see when's the last time a player has joined the server

    - A DNS/IP blacklist system

    - A !modrequest command to notify IRC moderators who are in the mod channel

    I also suggest giving the bot irc oper status so that there's no message delay in IRC.

  6. I wouldn't waste your time putting money into this just yet. This game has over 100 servers and only 150 play during peak, 100 during the night hours, and only 50-60 during the EU time of day. Only 4-5 servers get used daily. If you don't have people backing you on this to begin with, like a community, then you're gonna be struggling. Look into other games for the time being.

    The game has so many crash issues that probably made people lose interest.

  7. Noticed this only when playing GDI, most often on walls_flying, though it happened on other maps too.

    Sometimes the harvester stops when it's near the refinery, doing absolutely nothing. Crashing into it with other vehicles to get it to move doesn't help. It's not stuck on anything, it's just not moving, hampering our cashflow.

    I've only seen this happen on Walls_Flying.

  8. "log into RCON from ingame and use it" - does that mean you are a player in the server and use "Admin AdminForceTextMute"?

    I believe that AdminForceTextMute as an admin client will work, but not via execute as server (rcon or the Admin xxx command). That's just a result of the way the stock UE3 console commands work without specific setting up; which will be changed soon.

    Ya exactly what I mean.

    And that's good if it gets changed in the future. Would be nice using the muting from the console.
