Update on the situation: After cleaning out some programs on my laptop, and switching from 64 bit launcher to 32 bit (which may have been the reason) I was able to launch the game faster. So problem solved I guess.

I have Kaspersky, but I already tried turning it off before running the game and it still took about 10 minutes. Thanks for the suggestion though.

It was set to my High Performance Processor (Nvidia GTX 1050M) on both Nvidia Control Panel and Windows Graphics Settings. Should I try Integrated graphics? Or is my laptop somehow not actually using my dedicated graphics card?

I'm not sure if this is normal or if it's because of my specs but when I launch the game, it takes at least a 10 minutes for me to get to the title screen.
